I just need tips on gear, build and playing style thanks!

Your only chance as a mage at that level is to kite bears so use a build like 3-5 fire, 3-5 heal, 1 drain, 1 light, 1 frost.
I'm not sure how much dex or int you can have but aim for 37 dex for plat pack stuff, L5 artisans, and a dex ring. Then 22 int for L5 alchemysts.
The gear you need to fight people are L10 bird pack helm, L10 paw, L5 artisans, and L10 evidence, shrunken head/haunted doll, or L10 bird pack shield. For the ring I recommend any ring that has magicians in the name since it gives hit%.
For regen use L10 fox pack helm, L10 candle/mage pack wand, L5 alchemysts, and a L10 cuddle me. Use a ring that gives 1-2 mana regen.
I've actually never played this level mage but I can't see a build with 6 light work like levels 15+.
