Has anyone verified if you need to have the item for crafting to be lvl 55 or can it be a 51-54? It doesn't say in the recipe any level requirement for that item.

It needs to be Level 55 :(. Have a level 51 Raid Roach Recurve and that part was not checked off.

Yes, has to be 55. I just crafted the Raid Recurve, and when I went to the forger, there it was (the bow) checked off.
