Question about open locked crate on a non Level 40-41 toon

Say for example i open a crate on a level 16 toon. Does this wash away all my chances of getting a mythic or arcane item? I think pets it shouldnt matter but how does this work? Is it worth it to open a crate on a non level 40-41 toon?

Ths only thing that will change based on chr lvl is the Legendary equit !
So if you open em you will recive lvl 16 legendry equit . The rest is free for all .
Looted Sam egg/lvl41 daggers on lvl 12 twink :)
So its better to open em on a toon :)
Even if you dont get mythics/arcane you have a chance for gettin good legendarys(event chests) that can be sold very good . Such as new Icescale armor

u should open on popular twinks level like 8, 15, 21 etc...

yeah twink stuff like icescale/frostbitten/chillwind is sellin very good :)
