Does armor affect magic damage

i am a war3 and wow player.
there is magic resistance and armor in those games, but only armor in PL.
i wonder does armor affect magic damage.

I wouldn't necessarily call it "magic" damage here, it's more like skill damage. And yes, every 1 point of armor = 1 point reduction in normal/skill damage.

Yup, I don't think there's a difference between magic and physical damage here, just damage.

But i suppose there will be a formula for the damage reduction rather than just reduce the armor.

There is, but Physiologic is THE person to go to for the game numbers. If he says the closest damage to armour reduction is 1, I'd listen to him ;)
