Staggering blow

staggering blow says that it interrrupts an enemys attack windup...but when i use it on enemies when they have the red circle or triangle on they still attack...haifer made a thread about planar tombs yesterday..a warrior said that instead of stun pet in tomb 1 we can use chest splitter...but i used the lava pool still came...do i need to have the correct timing for it to be effective

It only affects certain enemies and only some bosses. I wouldn't count on it to save your life though.

timing counts, even with the pet.
i have seen SB used successfully many times.
when it works it is far better than stun pet imo.
if it doesn't work, fire bad.
maybe try to spam it during his wind up, its a pretty brief cooldown.
