How many totems needed for this quest

Depends which one. There are a few totem quests. The first requires 100 totems, and the subsequent cyber quest require less.

I wish it popped up to know or even make it a daily or weekly quest would be easier to know

Um, the CTK totems is for cyber armor. Don't think that works as a daily or weekly quest. That whole line of quests is for the cyber set.

Just meant to say for it to pop up as an actual quest and since its for sets do like it was a daily or weekly quests and keeps good count for you

If you get a totem it will let you know how many more to get. It's been months since I finished mine so can't really tell you if the quest screen keeps a tally or not.

Technically it has since I finished right before Christmas.

You need 100 for first quest, then 50 for second quest. That gets you the armor and helmet.

Then for the last 2 (weapon and shield), you need to kill 25 shadow prisoners and then another 5 in captive audience.

General rule of thumb: Any quest, daily or not, appears in your quest log once you accept it and it always shows your progress on it. :)
