Blast Shot Knocks out Mage Shield?

I thought you needed to do the cruel blast combo to take down mana shield, but you can do it with just blast shot?

I haven't noticed anything with break armor, just blast shot.

Much like how only blast shot removed OL's shield.

Yep, just blast shot. Blast shore absorbs the mana shield. When it hits a mage with a mana shield up, it doesn't damage the Mage, but it rather pops the mana shield. Like a needle popping a bubble:)

Edit:

Break armor does not take down mana shield. I tested this a long time ago but I don't think things have changed.

in fact, break armor would only drain mana, you wouldn't get the lowered armor. Blast shotting a shield drains mana AND breaks it.
