What is the mage best at?*Looks for royce....*

In your opinion what is the mage best at dex str or int? and at lvl 56 is wand better or staff?o and how should my talents be put for the most damage to blow lots of things up in a dung?

Pure int for strongly heals and max spell damage. I prefer wand, but it really is preference. Wand delivers more survivability and regen (depending on what wand and bracer you use as opposed to what staff you use), but staff has more spell damage at 56. As for the skills, I would go:

6-2-6-1
6-2-6-6
6-1-6-6 (for 55. At 56 I suggested using the one point in ice storm, or frost bite)

Yes, Int is the way to go, gives you massive AOE disintigration capability. The wand vs staff argument is complicated, both have strengths and weaknesses, and it's best to have both a wand set and a staff set to switch between depending on the situation. The major advantages of a staff are higher damage, higher skill damage, and either AOE (some fire and ice staffs), or stronger procs (dark staffs), with lightning staffs and non-AOE fire and ice staffs only having the damage advantage. The advantages of a wand and Bracer are obvious, higher armor and additional stat bonuses from having four rather than three items equipped.

Wand or Staff ? ... The answer is Yes & Both... That is my final answer...

There are tons of great options for both... alot very reasonably priced... any mage with a bit of experience should tell ya have both if not multiple options of both... just adds another layer of versatility to an already versatile class...
