Title basically says it. When the Goblin King's totem activates the sound goes off even if sounds are disabled in the options. I've verified this several times as I always play with the sound off.
Scared the crap out of me the first time it happened .. haha .. It is effective it making sure I kill it before he gets to it though! :D
