What are some of the first games you remember ever playing? Go back as old as memory can bring you.

Here's some of mine.

For Console: Donkey Kong for Super Nintendo, Metal Gear Solid for Playstation

For PC: DOOM, Heretic, OMF 2097(One Must Fall)

For Arcade: Street Fighter II

These are the earliest games I remember playing.

My first video game had stuff like tennis & squash. And I played it on a black & white tv.

Duck Hunter and Double Dragon! (Super Mario, too, of course but I'm probably the only person on the planet who never liked Super Mario.)

We had an Atari as well, but I don't really remember the games...

It would have to be Zelda, and the Mario games for the NES for me.

And Les, your not the only one. I never really cared for em either, but my Mom and sisters loved them and were always playing them so I was stuck having to play them or nothing.

Had the original nintendo and super mario bros, parents bought it for like $300 when it first came out. Had the original Gameboy as well with that weird Super Mario Land game.

It would be "Pong", which came preinstalled on our old Grundig TV.
Brings back memories...

I still play that big grey box to this day. Every now and then I plug it in and play. Can't beat the 8-Pixel graphics and the clunky rectangle controller with 8 buttons on it.

There was this arcade game back in '75 that I played, and it involved two players shooting at each others' tanks, but I don't know the name. In the 80's I had a Macintosh (pre-classic) and played Shufflepuck Cafe a lot, as well as Might and Magic.

The original Atari had a joystick and one button.

Speaking of which, Kaboom on Atari was the first game I played that I can remember.
No joystick. Just a paddle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddle_(game_controller))

Pac man on atari 2600
Castle on the IBM, the "graphics" in the game were made from the characters like @ * and the original emotes that looked like faces. I had ONE color graphics. Yellow
Other notables: Zelda on the pc before nintendo. Digdug on pc. Ultima 6, the reason my parents hated for me to play games.

Missingno.?!?!?! Damn I swear, starting to think that was an intentional glitch added to the game.

Yeah, had a home pong machine, too. But that was more of a gadget than a game. First game I really remember getting into was Zork on a monochrome Wang.

"It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue". FTW!

Missingno.?

You don't know the Missingno glitch?? O.o

You can get like 100 of any item you want. Just gotta do a few steps. Its easy and awesome. Used to do it for Master Balls and Rare Candies when I got bored after beating the game a billion times lol.

And I say it has to be intentional. Doubt it just happened. Just like the Truck off to the side of SS Anne or whatever the boat was called.

Pong - Space Invader - Galaxian.

These where the 3 coin operated machines at the camping my parents brought me too at the time. Ah, yes and no video games on tv in those day... also the remote for said tv was... ME!

I believe my first was Pong on the Intellivision my friend had. Another friend had an Atari so a quick second was Asteroids. My first computer games were Wizardry I, and Spy Hunter on an old Apple compatible Franklin. No hard drive, just two 5 1/2" floppy drives, one to load the program and one to save data to.
