View Full Version : New possible skills for mage

Has anyone ever thought that mages should be a support class? Except the problem is that mages dont even have any support abilities besides lifegiver. I think mages should get a bless ability which is similiar to curse except that you can apply it to allies (including yourself) it would add 20% plus speed, 20% plus damage, 50% plus armor, and 10% cd decrease. Bless could have a 15 second cool down and lasts for 6 seconds.

Another idea is that instead of having clock just slow down enemie's movement it would also slow down their main attack's speed, and increase their cd if in pvp. The idea is that you create a little time bubble for whoever is inside, slowing all movements down (as is should).

My last idea for a new ability is called "raging monster". Since both warriors and rogues have stun immunity abilities i think it is only fair that mages have a stun immunity ability as well. So this ability will give the user 10% damage reduction, an increase in 5% plus damage and 5% plus speed for every 10% hp loss, and an immunity to all stuns snares or roots for the duration of the ability. This ability will be kinda like Vengeful Blood, except the enemy can counteract this ability by not attacking or killing him fast before he can get off a good combo with his increased damage. When the user taps raging monster a cool animation will also pop up making the mage look like he is a wild monster ready to tear anything apart. The ability will last for 8 seconds and will have a cool down of 20 seconds.

Too bad I didnt have time to organize the additional unlockable skills in each skill. Forgive me for being lazy ;)

Note these are just weird concocted ideas that i made off the top of my head, if they are totally unrealistic, i get it, i just made them up for fun :o hopefully sts migh add them to the game if they are any good. Please feel free to add any ideas or tell me what should be added or taken out. Thanks for reading

i've been wanting a teleport skill, so mages can teleport away from enemies (PvE)
or a lazer, similar to the Blinky's AA (but looks like the laser the wizard from the cut-scene before the boss battle in the last map of Ydra Forest)

Hey Prime , i like that ideas ,they r very specific and cool //Ruizhe i dont think teleporting could be possible , just think of it :How to controll it , and going with this , each actual Skill does make dmg , nerfs the enemy or buffs you (and) allys , teleport does NOT have anything of these

Thanks. To be honest though i have also thought of a teleportation ability too, it just sounds so cool, however i came to the same conclusion you have. It would be just too complicated D:

Yes i agree, in my own little fantasy world though they are a support class ;) thats at least the way i think they should be. I hope sts will add at least one good support build in there for mage. Team work is what im all about so having an ability like bless would make things so fun. Plus people would actually be happy to have a mage around instead of asking them to leave in 5v5 battles where other classes dominate.

As of now i only find ice and lightning useful in pvp
fireball may stun but its weak. Just like the other attack skills

Guys i found a new skill... Here it comes what if the mage can summon skelletons or a dragon that last for 7-9 seconds?! (PVE only) and the dragon has 500 health and can do like.... 120 dmg or so. I think that, that is a awesome idea. Let me hear what you guys think about my amazing idea :)

50% for armor seriously? Tank with 2.5k armor will got 1.25k armor. 2500+1250= 3750 armor wow.

So true however a nice support build is curse, light, heal, and shield. (Using Orion or grimm for debuffs)
Sadly, this only works against unorganized groups or weak groups because one less arcane pet on a 5v5 is killer.

Problem is you don't get any stats for being a support class. I want to get kills, not support others who get kills. If PvP had team stats, then I'd be fine with that. But only those who get the kills and flags get any stats, the team members who helped them get nothing.

-.- Isn't mage a pet? JK JK JK...since first time play AL I choose mage as my main char... Change shield knock back upgrade with stun immunity while shield active and change time shift explode upgrade with mana and hp regen while we inside time shift area. For me that thing must be awesome for my mage :D

Yea like i said in my post, there are probably loop holes in my ideas, so feel free to tell me whats wrong or help me alter anything :) thanks for pointing that out.

Warriors are the tanks, rogues are the killers; what are sorcerers? I think every mmo should have a support class and it doesn't make sense to make rogues or warriors that class.

I only play pvp... Why do you think these abilities wouldn't help for pvp?

From what I know support class should have decent armor and hp with high mana and almost 75% skill is support type skill,in this game just mage didn't have any buff skill, almost 80% mage skill is attack type. If we see how low armor and hp sorc is not a support class in this game. Pet already play role as a support thing in this game.
