View Full Version : How to: Upload a Signature Picture

Step 1:

Select an image

Find an image that meets the requirements for the signature picture (must be under 500X100, or 15 KB, whichever is smaller) and save the image under your album, or, upload it to a photo site like photobucket.


Step 2:

Editting signature

Go under settings (top right hand corner of the website, second button to the right)

Then scroll down to "My Settings" and click "Edit Signature"

Step 3:

Uploading the image

Now, upload the image. If you saved the image, then simply click "Browse" and find the file, double click on the file and the image should upload. If you found/uploaded the image on/onto photobucket (or any other photo sharing website) Copy and Paste the URL into the box.

NOTE: Uploading the Image via Photobucket will automatically resize it. If you wish to keep it the set size, upload it through the file (option 2)

After that step is finished (either way) Simply click "Upload"

Step 4:

Saving the signature

After hitting "Upload" a little "" should appear, if the steps were done correctly, and the image meets the requirements. Then after, just simply click "Save Signature"

(My apologies if they aren't readable. They can be found towards the bottom of the page while editing the signature)

Finally, the Signature Picture should appear, and show under every post (unless selected not to) and you are free to enjoy it. Hope I helped:)

Added Signature permissions, sorry if it isn't readable in the image, but they can be found towards the bottom of the page while editing thr signature.

Also, made it look a bit nicer.

Oh, on step 1, is there a site I can go to or a program I can use to edit a ready image to those requirements? Paint?

To resize, the best way is to use photobucket (in my opinion) and resize it through there, photo editing softwares such as Gimp, and Photoshop should have one built in. As for compressing I'm not familiar with doing so, since I usually just resize the image. For questions piers can't answer, Google always helps;)

Edit:

Make note the file only has to be smaller than one. Not both.

Is it 100x500 or 500x100? :)

100x500 looks vertical, unless I'm mistaken :P

The 'upload a picture' link is not there ?
And if i copy and paste the url link from photobucket it appears as a link, not the picture... :/

Are you in mobile or using the app? Could be a reason why. Not too familiar with either but I don't remember seeing an option to upload a sig pic while using it

i cant get this to work and im sure my image meets the requirements. when i click upload i dont get the [sigpic] thing :(

its ok i sorted it out. i copied and pasted the [sigpic] bit into the text box and it worked :)
