A Question So Baffling, Royce is Confused

so im testing something...something confusing

so im with deronwilliams, and we both have 1 freeze, 5 lightning, and no armour, wep, ring, on at ALL

we both have 73 str. he has 7 int, i have 80, he has about 85 dex

1) we start puching each other (boxing)
...he does 3x more damage than me, with same str
so i spec to 73 str and 80 dex..he STILL does 3x more damage than me

2) we use freeze one each other. im 80 int, hes 1 int
no armour, weps, ring, etc.

hes doing 2x more damage!

3) we both have 5 lightning. he does slightly more damage than me, and i have 80 int, and he has 7.!



so...i will have to switch back to int for the m/s, causing me to waste 4p for thinking that int did more spell damage i wonder who said that.

what do i do?

Dex gives base damage. Base Damage is the damage that will crit. Not the spell itself. The spell is just added damage on top of the base damage. Therefore if you have more base damage you will do bigger damage on crits regardless if the int is boosting your spell damage or not. That is my theory :). Let me know what you think.

What is the skill damage listed on your skills tab compared to his? It could be that the star driven skill effect accelerates with higher Int (like 50 Int does less than half for your skills of what 100 Int does), but really the only thing I can think of that could really explain that enormous difference is crates, which obviously come more often with Dex. I mean 2X your skill damage? That's gotta be crits...

Well then something crazy is going on. To call this strange would be an undertatement. Your lack of a response to my skill damage display question leads me to believe you disnt check that, is that correct? Edit, answered in a subsequent post. Crit is the only way to explain it then. There's just no other explanation other than one of your characters being badly broken lol

result = he does 3x more damage punching without equips. 85 dex gives +0.15 points per point of dex for a total of 20-26; 80 int gives 14-20 points at 0.08 points per point of int. the factor of 73 str does not need to be counted since you both have 73 str. the highest damage of DEX he has (26) is roughly 2x the lowest amt of INT that he has (14). not sure where the 3x amt of damage is coming from.

This is very strange. How many experimental games did you test this in? Also, did you both try logging off and back in for more attempts? I don't know, I'm just trying to think of what it could be.

Youll need to have him screenshot his character page and skill page when you're doing "tests". Our characters don't have minimum amounts of damage we can do so the only thing I can think of is that he accidentally had a armor ring on.

His stats are hidden, and he says he definutely did not have a ring on

His stats might be hidden from you, but they are not hidden from him. Have him screenshot his character and send that to you. You can do a tell in his screenshot if you want.

Just to add more confusion, on my bear, my zero damage Crushing Blow and Beckon both do more damage then my level 1 slash :)
