Awesome Mystical. I have been looking for something like this for a mage.

Oh, myst, what do you mean by set stats?

Are those the total ones or they all give those stats?

Oh, myst, what do you mean by set stats?

Are those the total ones or they all give those stats?

I mean those are the stats for each piece. Like each Lowman's piece delivers 10 Int 4H/S 6 M/S 10 Damage 6 Armor. So those are the stats for lowmans gear in general rather than each peice.

@Mastermind, happy I could help:)

Ah. But for the armour part, thats from weapons right?

Ah. But for the armour part, thats from weapons right?

It involves the armory too, if you look at the differences between each sets armors

Oops. No wonder, was just looking at them per set. Heh. Thanks! :)

Ah. But for the armour part, thats from weapons right?

All gear types have a gear bonus like that, and mega mage items all give 10 armor and 10 damage. So for instance, the mega mage gemstone wand's damage is the gemstone wand damage plus 10 base damage from MM. And a MM gemstone robe's armor is the basic armor value of a gemstone robe plus 10 armor from MM. In fact, Mystical could have simply posted those gear bonuses and then the base stats for each type of wand, staff and armor, and you could have figured out any individual piece yourself. Anyway, very nice Mystical.

The crafted items giving H/S instead of M/S -- has it been confirmed with the devs that this is intentional, and not an error?

I don't think anyone ever bothered to ask, but it has to be intentional. If those 8 points were M/s on the crafted gear than the only difference between mega mage and enchanted gear would be 2 Int, and they were definitely trying to make the gear different so I find that unlikely.

Awesome guide!

Now come to think of it, the mastermind bracer is a pretty good combo with the rest of the mega mage stuff. +6% crit is very nice. (I have the level 55 mega mage gemstone wand, cowl, and robes, but not the bracer.) At least until I get a bracer - then I'm going to run a few tests myself.

Edit: After testing lowmans, mastermind, and my current creepy doll, I'm not sure which bracer to use for now.

The bracer is best served mega mage, if price is not a factor. But even when price is not a factor the wand or the cowl, however,
can be scubber or scraper which offer significant damage boosts over mega mage counterparts.

The mastermind suffers from lacking damage bonus. Granted you get more damage on average from the +6crit than you do with +10dmg,
but with a scrubber you get the +10dmg and still get +6% crits. (and ofcourse, while doing so, your armor suffers, but to say that all mega mage
is max damage gear is just rubbish. e.g. trading 6 armor and some of over 40m/s into 4%hit and 6% crit can be well justified and at least offers
a finer granularity than mere wand/staff choice does)
(same goes for staffing. scrubber staff kicks butt harder than mega mage does, there's no denying in that. mega mage staff is a step away from max damage to the security of it's armor)

Mega mage itself is in a sense a compromise set, a good one for sure. Unbuffed armor of 133 on a pure int mage is indeed uncanny.

I've got to agree with that. I'd trade 2 m/s plus and some of that armor for more crit any day. On the plus side, a pure int can now play like a pally and hold the front line while nuking the area, especially with the 2 blessings maxed out. I'm going to keep my shadow set as well.

Like Elly said, since it's temporary. I made a guide for the Halloween quests a while back that didn't get stickied either since if it were still stickied at this time, it'd be useless.

Thanks Kraz. Happy to help :)

Fluff, thanks for the info. Ill edit it as soon as I get to a comp.

Enchanted has higher INT – Which in turn means higher spell and weapon damage, it may sound small, but that combined with all spells is easily a extra 50+ damage per second. Very good for PvP. The H/S is nice, but its very costly on M/S, in which makes you regenerate like a Paladin. That could be bad in PvP. If there with no set bonuses, I would consider a 50/50 split on mega and enchanted, which might not be a bad idea actually. The massive bonus on armor from enchanted might be worth breaking the set for the extra m/s and h/s.

Overall – I would take Enchanted into PvE and Mega Mage into PvP. Stay away from sewer queen if you are after stats.

Are you sure enchanted is better for PvE? I wouldn't want to give up the mana regen at this point. With rapid spell spamming, it's easy to deplete your natural regen, even as pure int.

I prefer MM. IMO images don't need H/S at all. Itd easy with MM because you don't have to watch your mana.

The additional 6-8 int give 1ish base damage and some hits. The base damage is multiplied into spells with varying factors and there a number of spells and they can also combo and crit, but they also have a cool down. I don't see how it could "easily" add up to 50+ per second. My guestimate is ten to twenty and I can do some numbers if you want.

Secondly I what armor boost are you talking about?
All I see is the cowl getting a one additional point and the enchanted set bonus is still unkown at the time of this writing.

But with the sewer queen gear I concur whole heartedly.
