Wanna start rogue for pve

So... Since almost all benefit for new thing coming is go for rogue,I decide to try make one rogue for pve (curently lv 37). I have some question about equip and skill,wish someone can give me some advise and sugestion :D.

1. Are arcane hook still good at lv 41 (for pve)?

2. Curently my main skill is :
- aim (all upgrade)
- nox (all upgrade)
- veil (except explode)
- trap (except explode)
- piercing (no upgrade) just for boss
- razor (just add time and last one)
- agi max (pasive)
- crit max (pasive)

Stat all go for dex and still have some skill point for spend. Is that good build for pve?

3. For lv 41 curently gear already prepare :
- set potency ice scale
- archon pot ring
- necro brut amulet
- still not decide for weapon

Is that decent gear for doin elite run?

4. For pet curently use slag/dova/and little bear. Is that decent pet for elite run?

Idk about u, but i still prefer for upgraded mythic set/ fang , for better critical rate


Pet : blinky, crit/slow/-dmg on enemy/ -20% armor debuff on passive

3. Those look fine. For weapon, I'd suggest expedition recurve of potency.

For weapon I choose mythic maybe,got decent amount of gold from last event :D just need few more million LOL sound long way to hell...

Isn't pierce useless for pve? I often see rog just use pierce at boss...and about upgrade,isn't we can use pot for health? And for what 3 hit upgrade? For nox...thx for info,I didn't know that upgrade is have bug [emoji36] ...

Are u sure didn't go max on pasive crit? Isn't crit are rogue best friend? LOL

I mainly use pierce for the +10% health increase that's saved my butt countless times.

The problem with most of the passives is that they dont stack. If you have +5%crit from passives, and a pet with 8%crit HB, your total crit buff would be 8%, which would make the passive crit useless and a waste of skill points.

From all u guys advise,this is my curent build at lv 38.

ACTIVE :
- Aim (max)
- Nox (max)
- Veil (except explode)
- Pierce (just unlocked)
- Trap (bleed upgrade)

PASIVE :
- Agi (max)
- Crit (max)
- Str (max)
- Int (max)

I used trap for mob and switch to pierce for boss. Still not decide between armor pasive,razor,trap or health pack for last 4 skill point. Any advise? :D

My main pet is dova and slag...maybe in few times I used lil bear but its so rare use that pet,I think I'll go pasive with agi,str,int,crit all max. Maybe if I got crit type pet I'm gonna respec to agi,str,int for pasive.... :D

Ure right but picked the wrong example. Crit is the only passive that does stack i think (maybe armor too, not sure)

I've never heard of anything stacking other than xp, but i could be wrong.

No traps are NOT useless for pve... they are very helpful and many don't realize it without explode they still do many many ticks of big damage as well!

Rogues without veil and traps are like peanut butter without jelly...js!

Also truthfully except for timed runs (which we can't do right now) even pierce isn't that usefull and personally I still think the spinning blades are pretty useless unless you pvp.

5. pierce (1/5) -> esp used for tricky boss
6. razor (3/5, only evasion + time) -> esp used for arena, to rotate with veil

crit, str, dex, int (5/5)

main pet: grimm, dova, littlebear, ribbit, malison, and ultimately must-have-pair of blinky-kelvin :D

yeah... as you might already know, all DoT, (including Nox) aggro enemies as hard as taunt skills... and even worse, more than 6 enemies can be bled by trap's bleed.... and we have to be close enough to deploy traps,
you can get instantly killed if you pull several archers/ranged mobs at a time...

as for razor, i only spec-ed it recently, to be only used in arena, stahl hardly hit me when i'm on razor, then in the next 2 seconds, my veil will be ready again :P

Still got 4 more scrol for respec,i think gonna try my curent build on elite first when reach 41,then think again what skill I need and what I didn't need xD... but interesting sugestion about razor and veil for arena :D

I've never heard of anything stacking other than xp, but i could be wrong.

Passives are fixed long time ago, you can see on your stat screen now.

Crit stacks in every case.

Armor passive definitely works. I got 1822 without 5% durable, 1913 with durable passive. However it does not stacks with veil, so i got just 15% armor more standing in veil. But it definitely worth, you cant stand in veil all time.

Imho, rogue isnt as complex as a mage and passive skills here are much more useful than passives for a warrior, only use 6 active if you switch between pvp-pve often.

O.o who said that... Every build is right depending of type and style we play,i'm sorry if u feel like that :( ... I never play rog for end game pve that's why I ask for advise and sugestion... Actually my first build is so bad -.- nox/storm/heal/trap all max (didn't realized pasive skill is exist LOOOOL)... I die a lot with that build mob seem like me alot,they ignore warrior and start run to me xD... Then i quit play rog at lv 22 and start playing mage LOLOL... That's my story xD
