What will PL-players do when Blackstar is released?

Hi all!

This game is not out yet and noone of us knows if we will like it like PL or more or worse.

Just to have a little idea, will u contiune to PL and not Blackstar? Will u play both games? Will u quit PL?

I know its early to ask that, i just want know hows the direction.

For my part: I will prbably remain to PL. Spend to much time and effort into to stop it now. Playing both games i wouldnt have enough time... Rather i would screw down the PL-playing time and doing something usefuller ;)

i'm keep going to play PL because since i saw the preview by slidetoplay i think it's EXACTLY the same with PL and there is no reason to spend more money for platinum. i do not care about space theme, i wanted to see some revolutionary changes about gameplay but looks like i won't.

Both, nobody knows if Black Star is actually good. But since it is from Spacetime Studios (the people that made Pocket Legends), I'll probably be trying it out. If I like it then I'll be switching from PL to Black Star from time to time. But if I don't, then... I will stick to the original game... PL XD

I like PL heaps, but what I hope Blackstar does to improve on it, having the fortune to come second:

1. Less Grindy missions, levelling
2. Popular PvP and reduced button mashing
3. More about story and seeing the next chapter
4. Cohesive world map to travel around
5. Space Combat: Each player can go to space in a ship and dog-fight

Yup I needed a new phone anway *whistles* ;)

But saving cash on these mobile mmos when they are "almost" as good as many pc mmos and you pay way less, has got to be worth some of the cost of a new phone (which I needed anyway). Anyway have all the way until June to decide eh?

Guys just think about it Spacetime studios will be releasing Blackstar soon right? and I am sure it will be amazing especially the sci-fi idea is great and Pocket Legends wich was released in 2010 and is the number 1 game so far will remain updated as far as I'm concerned and it will get better and better each and every day I even bought 30 plat in PL because it deserves being spent money on anyways Blackstar and Pocket Legends why not have em both? I mean we could be playing both right :D??? And I hope Blackstar will remain as an efficient size like Pocket Legends not bigger than 300 MB would be fine...I suggest we keep on playin both btw I'm a level 38 Warrior in PL add me Karim Mahmoud :) I will be buying an iPad 2nd gen and an iPhone 4G after I finish this damn school year I'm currently on a 3GS good luck out there players :) I hope u like what I wrote :)

CONFIRMED:

1. Pocket Legends and Blackstar will share Spacetime Studio Accounts.
2. Free to Download: In-App purchases using Plat ie Freemium (v fair to the customer imo)



So your current PL a/c and all the Platinum you have on it will be available for Blackstar and visa-versa.

Convenient, smart and means I will probably play both :)

Voted both because atm I play PL off-and-on but will play B* a good deal more because I love a good story and it will be v exciting following it.

Both for sure, may have to drop to a part time job, sell the house and live in a camper to make time but,
some ideas for making more time to play;
1) Use public transport - driving while playing PL is not sensible
2) Train both your children to play PL and operate a 12hour shift pattern so always ingame
3) Do less work at work and play more
4) Install Droid units on shopping carts, taxis, buses, airplanes, lawmowers and of course in the kitchen
5) Do more conference calls at work, argue its to save money on commuting to meetings but really can play and work
6) Move to Venus 5815 hours in a day

I will play both as I think levelling up will be relatively quick in B* for the early levels available at release eg 20-25, so after a wee break level capping; back to PL which will be nicely updated (and Plat is exchangeable between both games) while we wait for the next chapter in the B* saga... so it should work out really well for both games :D but B* story seems so cool...

In my opinion, PL will remain to consume a majority of my gaming time. Since PL is already well established and more polished(other than join button) than a first-version game will be, it wins me over. Also, the item marketplace in PL has matured considerably since v1, and the valuable items in game I have amassed aren't going anywhere...

Also, without space, Blackstar sounds like a rehash of PL. I guess I can't fully judge it until it is ready.

1. There is now a PL-Live Team working on PL. STS has recruited more devs to work on it and B*. See FAQ link above.
2. Yes I'm guessing, STS usually are able to keep the client v small. It likely will be a little bigger but not much. Delete some apps, B* will be worth it!
3. Platinum is transferable but in-game gc currency or items are NOT! No inflation bud! Pricing ie real-world cash for plat should be very straightforward from day 1 with B* too as the devs have learnt a lot from PL.
