I've been looking for one, so I can record videos straight off my iPad display.

Anyone know a good one?

Thanks.

First of, apple itself does not give authority for screen recorders to be sold.
So your best option is to jailbreak the device if possibly and find a screen recorder through Cydia.
Your second option is to find a way to put your ipads screen up onto the computer and use a computer recorder
also can be done through a program in Cydia.

Dang. Why the ban on screen recorders though?

I can't jailbreak mine cause I've invested quite a lot into the App Store, was told they'd not be able to be used.

I was told that if I jailbreak, I can't use anything from the app store and only rely on apps provided by the jailbreak?

Ive heard of that happening but in my case, but to me once i jailbreak
I could buy apps from Apple and also get ones from jailbreak so it all depends

Whoever told you that told you a LIE. You are able to have full functionality of your applications even after a jailbreak. So go ahead! Jailbreak!

Lol, no I don't think the initial jailbreak is illegal. But the majority of things done through Cydia ect are.

I read a thing about it.....it was illegal before but then it has been allowed now every jailbreak program is legal but still choose cydia, best one (most commonly said/used)

It is NOT illegal. As much as apple wants it to be, it isn't. There are illegal things you could do with it (IE, downloading paid apps for free) but if you stay clear of those kind of things, you won't have a problem. Jailbreaking pretty much delivers you third party applications, that apple does not allow. It is your device and you're free to do whatever you want with it given it is legal. Which jail breaking is.

@Ellyidol

It is legal, much to Apple's displeasure.

However, you do void your warranty and you will have to wait for the latest jailbroken ROM each time. The jailbreak offers you the opportunity to basically install apps that Apple won't allow - maximizing your phone's capabilities.

Cydia apps and jailbreaking is legal as long as you don't add a repo for cracked apps ;). In Cydia there is a paid app to record your display called screen recorder that works pretty well. Jailbreaking let's you fully customize your idevice. This is what my iPod looks like ;) ( still working on my icons )
