Finally traded in my Xbox 360 & games!

And I must say this was the PERFECT time to do it too, granted that I'm leaving to Japan on Tuesday next week, luckily there was GREAT deals and promotions going on at Gamestop.

I was able to get an extra $50 towards my system (Which has red ring issues but worked for 5 minutes with a game in it at the store so they took it). And I got 70% trade in value on my games!!

Usually Gamestop is the absolute worst place to trade in items, as they have pretty bad exchange rates compared to other stores, but it seems like you got some nice bonuses. I heard that Best Buy gives a nice bit of cash for electronics also, so I'd check them out if you have future games/systems you need to get off your hands. (I found a chart that showed the best places to trade in games and other electronics a few months ago. I'll see if I can't find it. May help out others wishing to sell their old systems)

Anyway, do you know how long these promotions are lasting? I have a few games I might want to sell.

I'm not sure if the promotions vary per Gamestop, I'd call your local store and ask what promotions are currently going on for trade ins on games.
