Pics for Sigs

I was just wondering, a lot of other websites you are able to put pictures for your signatures. I worked in photoshop a little while back and had some cool sigs. Is there any particular reason that we can't post pics as our sigs?

I have an idea... why not just post 'your sig' at the bottom of every post, and if everyone does it, spacetime will have no choice but to make it an option ahahah :D
