Stahl glitches every time he's stunned or rooted. If rooted he will be stuck in the same spot, it will just look as if he moved. That's why piercer sometimes doesn't seem to hit Stahl, but still damages him. The same thing goes for Glob, if he's rooted he will move in different places, but be stuck where you pierce to, so he hasn't moved anyway o.o. Be aware of where your piercer hit, because that's where Glob WOULD be, so careful for the redzone.
I'm not quite sure this is a bug tho, because rouges can also pierce without moving in PvP while stuck in a root like crawly or Elon Rifle proc, and still do damage.
