At 66 up play a standard go fight using only fire frost and heal. If you time well it's quite easy to win

Just need to practice. Grab a buddy that will let you attack him/her. You'll get used to the ranges, but it takes a bit of time to master.

PvE actually can help with this. Go to a map and solo it. Spam skills and watch if the enemies take dAmAge or if debuff hits.

Another way if you have a decent visual memory is using the /location command and testing moving around on a straight axis. You can see how your movements correspond with the (x,y) coordinates that represent meters in game. Test in Tiny Tombs, which has a lot of cracks and floor landmarks you can use to memorize distances.

It's all visualizing and feel. You'll eventually get used to it once you play for a while

I learned my ranges through using my skills (on a person) each time I join a lobby, this way my memory of the ranges is refreshed and I can potentially get a kill if the person buffs and trys to kill me.
