Hey all,
I just want to gather some information and see if there's a demand for this type of tournament?
Class: L41 Rogue
Gears Allowed: Mythic Helm, Armor, Mythic Bow/Daggers, Mythic Ring, Mythic Pendant
Pet Allowed: Malison
Style: 1v1 Open CTF Map, First to 20
Rules: No spawning, no outside interference. Must win by a margin of 4 or more.
Thoughts? I allowed Malison as the only pet so OP pets like Nekro do not decide outcome of match.

Well, rogue vs rogue is only part of what being a rogue is and IMO, the smallest factor of a skilled rogue due to luck of crit & stuns being a huge factor in these matches. However, it is fun to do regardless.
I would have a classes vs classes tournament but we all know a rogue would win...lol.

The reason why I kept mythic pendant is:
• If you remove the pendant and keep mythic bows, it's a one hit fest.
• I think enough rogues have planar pendant by now.
Those are my reasons for keeping it. Do you disagree?
Additionally, a rogue will have to win by a margin of 4 or more. A win of any less will not be counted as a win because within that margin, falls luck to crit & stuns.

nice idea gl to all really like this idea where u are given certain set of gears to choose between which even suits every1 budget obviusly u can use doom if u cant afford planar pendant giving u a slight disadvantage but that is k this tournament will be much more based on ur right useage of skills/passive +luck rather than the gear so love this idea u should implement this.

I will support you Host this tourney if there is demand, also lets make the prizes worthed I'd gladly chip in.
I suggest we discuss few things and make it official.
Another suggestion: perhaps make the weapon of choice expediton bow instead? So the dmg of each contestant is nerfed... this might reduce the likelihood of this being reduced to a one-shot/one-combo contest.
See, then the issue becomes with para gems. Most geared players have put their para gems into weapons or rings. Ive tested with the gear suggested and one hits are rather infrequent.
Test and let me know of yoir findings?

I like the idea, would really like to see this happening! I'd agree with Saf about using expedition bow and I'd like to add that instead of the Planar pendant why not use a lepre so everyone can play?

I wish we could see every rogue wearin a lepre...think about it alh xD How awesome would that be!!

Again, there remains the issue of one hits and with expedition bow, players also have to attempt to find gear with paracelsus gems. This is as even as I can make it without it becoming a PITA for players to compete.
Gear is created for a reason & part of that is keeping in mind rogue damage so if we make balance of our own, it turns into a luck fest. If you don't believe me, try with the gear you've suggested. On the same gear level, one hits are even more or just as frequent.

Meh, not everyone has access to a mythic pendant. If you mean the planar type. Also at this level rouges depend on complete and utter luck. Also I feel like it would be unfair for the other 2 classes if the prize is grand (Banner, vanity and the likes we've seen so far).
I like the Malison pet thing, but it has nothing to do with skills if this is a rouge 1v1. GL to whoever crits first! I'd like to see a non-team tournament though, too bad endgame is the way it is :).

It's true...I have seen rogues with expedition one hitting me even when i have 3.9k HP..(even the 1066 armor seems to be useless now, not the passive)

I say, make this an Epic tournament.
Epic gear, epic pet only...that will solve the one-hit issue.
Plus, with the Epic only limitation, no one in their right mind would gem with para, so it is truly a contest of skill instead of gear + $$$.
I do think this is a great concept, and I hope that there is strong participation for this!

Before I implement something like this, I'd like to try in a vs. It may be just me but I foresee rogues running out of mana before making a kill like this, lol.

I propose changing the gear restrictions from mythic bow with new amulet to exped bow and any amulet but the lvl 41 one. I have tested this and found that often the damage is not enough to combo kill with simply aimed and nox. Pierce is also needed. Obviously, there are those freak instances where a super high crit hits and combo kills (without Pierce)but it is rare. I'm happy to test this again with u with and without para.
My main reason for suggesting this is to widen the playing field. I personally know many skilled rogues who could not compete at the previous gear level. Admittedly, this would increase the role of para gems, but anybody who could compete at the gear level you stated would almost surely have at least 1 para, if not more. To counter the role of para gems, I suggest you set a damage limit, forcing players to choose whether to invest in health or mana instead. I'll try and get back to you with numbers.

Yasssss I love the thought of this. I think should be exp bow/malison that's Coo. Idk about the epic gear. ..No mana after 1 combo GG.. it's open map ctf not in rooms so it won't only be "Who crits first wins" takes skill with walls and ctf IQ.. Im excited about this MAKE THIS HAPPEN ~ Lewdness

I intend to create a 1v1 tournament for each class. However, I am first going off the most popular class. If there wasn't going to be enough interest for rogues, I did not see how there would be enough interest for sorcerers or warriors. I've borrowed this idea from Absolutepally, who has run 3 1v1 tournaments side by side. It went along pretty smoothly!

Reason why that would slightly decrease dmg witch will probably lead to a complete stun fest .I'm aware of the skill razor shield but at the end of the day I believe been a good Rouge is about been quick at it. If you want slow motion game 1v1 Rouge simply do a lower level tournament. As of a pet +1 for Mali.

How exactly would it lead to a stun fest? Since malison dies not stun on either AA or PA only way to stun is bow stun, which is not a viable option in 1 vs 1 rogues.
