I was wondering when you use one of your slashes on a dex bear does the bow do damage from long range or do you still have to be close to the boss for any damage to happen?

Close range. :)
Nothing changes from a Str bear to a Dex bear aside from normal attacks with a ranged weapon.

Aw so for all of your attacks like slashes, and crushing blow you have to be close. Well that sucks, thanks for the help tho.

Yeah, everything on skills stay the same.
Not really, you have beckon to bring them close to you anyway :)
