Other Apps?

Well, for us iTouch users, we usually don't have the luxury of being able to whip out PL anywhere we wish, and for many iPhone users, 3g does not seem to run PL smoothly.

By helping a friend, I got an iTunes gift card, so....

Main question: Besides Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, and Ninjatown - Trees of Doom (Which I feel is second only to Angry Birds, as Angry Birds now has so many levels to play around with it's kinda hard to beat), what other apps do you guys recommend? Whether it be a pick-up that entertains for a short time or a good game that engrosses one for a good long bus ride (which I have to take almost daily), I'd like one or two more game apps that keep me entertained when I'm out of wi-fi range :cool: thanks!

Now a days all I really play on my phone anymore are Pocket Legends, Doodle Jump, and Angry Birds.. There just isn't anything new I care for in the app store anymore.

Play some of them on-the-go MMORPG's like Zenonia 1&2, Inotia 1&2, Final fantasy 1&2, Chaos Rings, Song Summoner(? idk about this one though, havent played it yet), and all those other MMORPG-type games. Just a suggestion ya know? XD

I personally enjoyed Zenonia 2... and if you like turn based games... i suggest you getting Chaos Rings... - Stunning graphics

Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior jst got done released for the iphone/ipod. Was on iPad for like a month. Had me checking almost as often as I was for Pocket Legends updates and such. O oo o. . nd I jst bought Fritz Chess. Not so bad for off-line thinking. Still have to try out Dragon Warrior tho. Will keep youse posted if you likes. . . .

dont buy chaos rings >.< unless you love turn based games.

ive been trying to get my hands on ravensword, ive been playing the light version and i like it way more than chaos rings, ravensword is like elder scrolls for your ipod touch :P

Oh yes, I did see a great review for Ravensword on Youtube; I so far discarded the possibility of me purchasing N.O.V.A. just because it seems like the campaign is too short, the enemies have one track minds (RUSH RUSH RUSH); but I've yet to try out the multiplayer function.

Ravensword or NOVA <---- out of the two, which one?

And by any chance have you guys any personal reviews on the Monopoly app?

Galcon by far one of the best games on the iPhone. Has some awesome multiplayer matches. It's kinda tricky at first but u will get the hang of it. Try the light version if u don't want to pay right away. I have about 50+ hours in that game and still play.

Pocket Legends
X2 Soccer 2010 [just came out, online capable]
Battle for Wesnoth [feels like Vandal Hearts and Brigandine mixed with Final Fantasy Tactics]
Cocoto Kart Online
M Poker Lite [fun online, not a fan of long 10-player poker, but... hey, free and online]
Eliminate Pro [love the $)@# out of this and it's free, annoyed that it's all based on level + gear though. half the guns in the game are 100% useless.]
Brothers In Arms 2 [multiplayer games can be either great or boring... hit or miss. decent campaign. controls are less fluid than Eliminate]
Scrabble [wish I had Words With Friends - offline play is very unfulfilling]
Solitaire [took me a few diff apps to find one that is free and doesn't have ads]

OTHER USEFUL STUFF WORTH MENTIONING -

Theres a few useful free picture editing programs like Photoshop Mobile. That's pretty nifty because there is no way that any of us take "straight" pictures with a cell phone camera [or at LEAST need a lil crop action]. I like the Wikipedia app just because it's faster than going through a Safari bookmark in my opinion, but some of the features are missing that you'd get using a true browser. Theres a few nice business apps but I don't want to put you to sleep, especially since I bet half of you are browsing these forums while AT WORK! GET PRODUCTIVE, YA BUMS!

Some apps I'm considering buying - GTA: Chinatown Wars, Street Fighter IV, LogMeIn: Ignition, and Slingbox Mobile.
Now heres a question - anybody have any apps they're looking forward to? That aren't out yet?

Streetfighter IV sounds like a good buy.

I bought N.O.V.A. today; the players on multiplayer were few (prob cause it's Sunday) and were satisfactory; easy kills.
The campaign is nice, one of the few real games in the app store that HAS a storyline (a real one).
It's a decent gun game; good buy IMO.

Monopoly: Here & Now I felt was a good buy as well, as the sale price is $2.99 at the time I'm posting this.

Besides Chaos Rings, are there any good turn based games in the app store atm?

Thank you; anyone possibly give me input on Pocket Tanks Deluxe? For $4.99, I'd like to know if the app is worth it; many app review sites are saying it's a "must buy", but having personal input from forumers would be great as well :D

if you like immpossibly hard games this one is great, its a dungeon crawler and its always different. it takes a while to get used too, and its almost immposible to get very far. but its so much fun. its called Powder
