Determining who is "best" is ridiculously subjective and always devolves into an endless argument because all sides end up using circular logic. Unless you are talking about hard numbers, metrics and facts, this is just a pointless exercise.

Since it's impossible to know who is "best" anyway, why not just have fun?

There are many whose skills you can tell stand above their gear or the norm for their class, it would be easier to note the ones who are remarkably bad for their gear and class.

But then what makes someone "best" is, in my opinion, much to do with sportsmanship, perserverence, fairness and the desire to learn and improve. Expo and Vyr are prime examples of players who made pvp great in their time, among others too numerous to list.

Unfortunately those qualities are rarely seen now that being good in pvp is mostly about who is at the top of the wealth gap, and who has the least scruples about killing someone who is unprepared just to add to the notches on their bedpost, as it were. But then I guess that's what PvP has become, which is why a lot of the old pvp generation left.

I think just randomly saying "best of all time" leaves it way too open. It could easily mean those who are best at kill farming, dummy farming, spawning, ganging and other unsavory practices. It is all in perception.

I totally agree with Serancha these days pvp is only ruled by arcanes people who show their egos who have no respect for other's no more, PvP was good in the first few seasons when you could make a tactical build where you needed skills instead of OP arcane pets and gears the days that PvP was fun to do.


Back to the topic of this thread as before I still do not know why people make such kind of threads on the forum (I'm also not active on the forums anyway) because it still comes back to the most popular names in the game. I've played with players few people know off who are the best in my eyes because I learned from them to do PvP, timed records ect on the other hand my idol rogue is still ExportedJunk i always wanted to become as good like he was for me he was a big example of a rogue player it pushed me to limits i didn't know off.

Gear has nothing to do be being the best. Neither do dummy flags and kill farming. You know when you play someone that can play. A 50M gold ring is not enough to make you a good pvper. If you play enough, the difference is clear. If the difference isn't clear, you probably need to play more. There are many fail 60M gear players. The converse is also true.

Waa thx lol, I will never say that im the best tank at this level or any and yes many people beat me plenty of times I won't deny it. I was saving the clips for about a month and deleted tons and tons that I had from before that I probably shoulda kept lol.. :(

Iknow i missed many other pros but i havent played with them that much to say that i find them pro. And sometimes even if they are pro if they cnt adjust to the play style of the team its useless. Being pro for me is adjusting to how the team plays and how u executes the strategy well and doing your job well for rogue is to aim dps well and playing with the tank. tank is feebling and covering and heal timing sorcs are for supporting the whole team, but its useless if team is not coordinating well and not playing as a team

Its very hard to identify top players because of the ridiculous gear difference between the rich and the poor. Most players who are on any list have maxed out or close to maxed out gear. I am not saying that they are not skilled. In fact I'm sure they are very skilled. But the reason they are noticed is because of their gear. I am 100% confident that there are some incredibly skilled poorly geared players that nobody knows about because they do not have the gear to clash.

Pretty much everybody on the end game list has the gear to compete in maxed out clashes. Players with exped weapons or magma blades cannot clash because of their gear and are hence not noticed. Let's face it, if you have a team of legendary geared players against a team of 4 rings, a nekro and a sns, the maxed out team will have time to point and laugh while we spam arrows and they will still win. A legendary weapon in a maxed out clash is like taking a wet fish to a gunfight.

All the players mentioned are undoubtably among the best. All I am trying to say is that there are a lot more players who are equally skilled that nobody knows about.

I totally agree. That's why I said "I list the people I've played with [...]", I do not clash with undergeared players, because they cannot compete against arcane ppl. And that's sad, I agree 1000%.

At first you have to differentiate between tdm and ctf. The "blablub best players lists" are allways ctf-only because the ppl who write in these threads are mainly ctf-players.

Totally agree with you. I love fighting with randoms too. Some people feel like they gotta swap and organize everything. Bullying the new pvp players that want to learn pvp and telling them to leave. I'm usually stuck with the yowie or colton player but its so fun until they start swapping and swapping every ringer they know of.

Its a huge difference beeing an arcane maxed out tank who can deal 3 "normal" enemies... this can be fun for sure. When you are an average geared squishy mage it makes no sense to even try a 1on3, except none of the 3 is a tank and all of em dont know curse, lol.

Well ofcourse there wont be croods or other guild tanks , expected list from magnum player lol. There s even no mmph tank that beat duayle dwsp acemamaw in vs. The guys you put in list also not good in GW compare to these 3 croods tanks. Sometimes dwsp contribute more to GW with his dova or littlebear compare to other arcane one s . Not even talking about other 2 tanks. This list looks like top AL magnum friendly players :rugby: Also for rogs aimpoint - aimedshot - violentcrits 15 lvl - Realities etc etc, many nicks seems to be missed.

Everyone thinks the rich are unskilled. There's nothing you can say or do to change it. I've fought people next to naked and still have had them call me unskilled. Int & Trix may be good PvPers. If they can win a tournament w/ out using Nekro, they must be pretty good.

Ok, ok lets all calm down, keep our opinions to ourselves and keep this thread open.
As my level 9 opinion, I will post 3 people.
1. Msmai - brought me into the rogue twink world and taught me the basics (later on I started teaching her xD). She was one of my best friends in game and so funny!
2. Lambofgoddd - this guy absolutely excels at any class between levels 6-10 (have not seen him much at higher levels despite knowing him for about 2 years). A guild master of Elite Twinks and extremely talented. If you have played around the level, you will know him.
3. Omg - this is the only guy that has beaten me as a level 9 rogue. Have not seen him for so long (we knew each other before paras, ancients and stuff...you know, when pvp was best). (Pre-paras, post-ancients we did a rematch and I beat him so lets keep it at 1-1 :p)
