Call me a skeptic but I don't think the portal was ever driven by love potions. It was on a timer this whole time. It opened mid day, central time, shortly after an update that came on a Wednesday of all days.

Lol true we did open alot of love potions too it never gave same point in the bar each time.

Congrats to all the guilds. However, I have to say I think the portal was definitely a joint effort by all the AL players, 100k love potions takes contributions by all.

Marketing strategy, keep your customers believe that everything is in their hand. But in fact the seller is the one who decide when the time come. Believe me the portal still opened even no one drink potions ;p

@Skeptics.... is it not viable that the STS team just waited until the potions counter reached -3k from the goal and then patched the update containing the Hughthulu content in the background so that it could open automatically once 100k was reached?
That's what I thought had happened ^_^

haha! In a show of transparency we uncovered a bug with Hugthulu that we wanted to address before everyone opened it up! We thought we had until Thursday when we do our normal updates but once the end was in sight we had to push up our timetable to accommodate all of the elixirs being consumed :) Excellent work everyone!

Easy You should show a graphic in excel or word where explain the potions used for day!
