Recently the act of calling others out as new generation sprung out of no where. Now I know I might not be the best pvper out there since my kiting is thrash and I'm inactive many times

Either way though when exactly did the start of new gen come out.
If you've noticed no one whose actually played the game within a 2-4 year period says that
It's weird to see a player who is actually new call someone new gen.
The funny part is now a days those calling new gen are for example a mage or bear (hiding/rejoin) against classes like my Fox when they're higher level....[emoji52]
You can't say your old if you have no proof[emoji14]
#2 Years = Not that old not that new[emoji11]

Yep. The whole point of PvP today is to feel a superior ego, or to feel that oneself has more talent or skill than others. Hence, the usage of whatever excuse, insult, complaint or derogatory term to debase others based on OP, newer/less experience, etc. in an effort to elevate oneself. This applies to all players, old and NEW - and that's why so many new players say it, as they're desperate to find confirmation that they're "good". You notice a lot of older players don't say "new gen" as they have a guild and lots of prior experience to PROVE to themselves that they are indeed skilled.
It just so happens that "new gen" is the current trend in this concept...the modern analog of the past "cry", "hunted", and way back, during primordial PL time, "noob".

For one I call no one new gen
You could literally just start the game but I wouldn't. I can't call someone new gen because then I'd have to call the next person over the same. If I were to call one a name then I'd have to speak truthfully to all so I promise I may likely didn't call you a new gen

I find it annoying when a level 20 rhino with hammy rushes you then calls you new gen. I ask him to pull out his 3 year shield and he shuts up after that.

Some ppl who owns the 3y shield thinks they are more skilled and experienced than the others. Its also become more funnier when you kick one of those players butt in 1v1 like 10 times in a row, after that he or she finally beats you once then call you 'weak noob gen'.

Don't be sad of calling you new gen. I have seen some people saying those things which could temporarily ban them just for get 10-0.
Just tease them by when they call you that, challenge them on 1v1 or find them 1v1 and after beating them tell them,"What type of pvper you're losing by a "New Gen"?" ;)

Ok. Lets recap this new phrase that everybody is wasting their tissues about. Based off of in game experiences, forum threads, and hearing this phrase OVER and OVER again, I can easily pull out that "new gen" is the new way to call somebody a bad player or new player, which can be translated to the older way to call a person "new gen", the deep dark word that we shiver at. Yes, if you thought of it, it's that word, "Noob". This phrase is nothing to worry about. It's just an excuse for who know what they're trying to pull off on ya. Besides, most of the people who use this phrase (look at how I say "most") are not even that old themselves. Remember, all of us were new gens at one time, and there is no problem with actually being new.

An example today: the great "mvp" was spawning me with fearthebow and called me a new gen. I told him that I had gratitude gear and he said "that's only 3 years". Smh. If you plan on calling someone a new gen, make sure that they aren't new gen, and that you don't embarass yourself with your lack of knowledge about old vanities. For those of you who aren't familiar, the shield and frozen crown of gratitude were awarded if you bought 30 plat before April 2011, and if you bought the maps when they were not free. I forget which is which.
