GUIDE: How To Use Emotes Without the Emote Button.

If you are like me, you like to have the most screen room you can to maximize efficiancy and fun. Little things like the emote button gets I the way. So heres how to do all the emotes without the button (the button can be turned off in options)

-tip: before you do each of these place two fingers on one side of the screen and wait a second before swiping

-tip: Another way to wave is by shaking your device.

The "Wave Hi" emote (swipe two fingers gently to the right)

Thats most of em- im missing 8 of them including all the fart part and the backflip pack.

Nice! cept just tweak the arrows so its less fat and maybe do the screenies in lost expedition where the ice contrasts the black arrows, seen better. But besides looks, awesome :D

I tested diagonal directions.

Hold two fingers down + swipe upper left = Fireworks!

Hold two fingers down + swipe upper right = LOL

Hold two fingers down + swipe lower left = yawn

Hold two fingers down + swipe lower right = dance

I knew them back from Forest Haven days when there wasn't like a timer thing in between chats and emotes. People spammed so much and tried selling "the secret to emote spamming". It caused lag and annoyance so devs eventually stopped it.

There are 4 3-finger diagonal gestures which are still open. After that, all the flick gestures are pretty much covered I think. I know iPads can do 4 or 5 finger gestures, but you can't expect that out of smaller devices. Not sure what else can be used.

wow some oldies dont know that -_-. i loved spammin partay back in FH lol. it lagged like hell :) btw some didnt found that out, because you had to turn off the three fingers zoom in the settings.

Not sure about that Con. Did you try drawing a butt on your screen?

A little secret (maybe?) if doing a fake stomp in PVP when charging your opponent with the two finger swipe up. He/she will think you used stomp and completely missed/wasted it and proceed to charge in.

Cinco mentioned in chat yesterday that they forgot to assign the new emotes to gestures. I'm sure they'll be assigned "later".
I'm thinking Emote Pack 3 will get the remaining 3-finger diagonal gestures. Not sure what gestures are left for Pack 4. I believe iPad can do 4-finger gestures. But I don't think too many other devices can do that ;)

I know this is pl, but the 2 finger swipe to the right is wave on sl and 2 finger to the left is party. Kind of laggy, but that may have been because of my high ping.

Is this worthy of a sticky? Or at least more attention? I know this thread is old but I know myself and some others had no idea this was possible. This is pretty good information for ppl to know. It makes my playing experience more enjoyable because I dont have to surf the menus to get my emoticons! :)

I can't believe that I have been playing this game for over a year and on top of that this thread was created 6+ months ago yet I never knew about this! Awesome..... First thing I did after reading was log in and test it...lol... All worked too just a pain for the 3 finger diagonal motions.

Good idea with the updated images..lol... But I would wait till they fix current Ui, no? There is a thread that Sam posted saying emotes will be taken out of the sub menu and put back onto main screen along with some other great moves/fixes :p don't know how long that will take tho...

Yup I would wait too. Fingers crossed that the new changes won't make this type of method obsolete so Con's work wouldn't be wasted.

When those new packs came out I talked to Cinco about how there weren't any (obvious) gestures for them.
He confirmed that they forgot to assign gestures to them but didn't make any guarantees that they would do so.
I don't think there has been a patch that has mentioned anything further about new emote gestures.
The main four that are missing are the diagonal three finger swipes which were the ones I checked when they introduced the new swipes.

Swipe+shake seems a bit complicated :D

I just found this thread and I was going to note - on android (Galaxy 10.1 tab) at least only the basic, two-finger, horizontal and vertical (no diagonal) gestures work. Too bad.
