SXSW event is gone, now I was wondering how and when DEVS gonna identify 'most prolific pvpers' and invite them to play alpha. Will be that email invite? Forum PM? how many alpha testers will be there?

Because, I have been invited to the alpha and have been in touch with sts. Since I won the tournament at sxsw.
hmm, nice. That means inviting players from the community is yet to be started.

Interesting, it seems like you're new to STS as well. Are you allowed to give us details regarding alpha or is it strictly confidential?

I am allowed to, the only thing I believe is on the down-low is the Alpha release date. Ask away.

I'd love to participate in the testing, but right now I only use iOS devices and I'm guessing I will need Android. However, I'm willing to go buy an Android tablet if I know for sure I can participate.

We have not yet started the alpha invite process outside of our SXSW winners (like SaltyMcSwag up there). I do not have an exact date just yet but we will make sure to keep you all posted. Our alpha capacity is pretty limited, but our closed and open beta will be soon to follow. :) You'll get to play very soon. We're so excited that you're excited!

No, I believe it will be open to Apple devices as well, as the winners got iPad airs to play the game on.

It's planned for release in the summer, until then there will be alpha and beta access for a limited and the larger audience to help test the game.
