Tips for Grand gem

Anyone can give me some tips how to get grand gem into my gears? I tried many time before this event and even in this event still could not get any grand gem into my gears. Is that true if you finish the time of upgrade with platinum you have better chance? can someone confirm this! I want to play game but feel like casino and gambling, I do not believe in luck i just want to play game,is there something wrong with this x chance system?

I find a "Clue" about this, anyway this can be true or just my imagination :

- Just let the item some days ( 2 or 3 ) after it upgrades, idk it work for me

There's no trick or technique. It's pure luck! People estimate that the probability is roughly 1 in 36 chance. That's about as good as the odds in roulette! Right now x2 so you're looking at 1 in 18 chances to give it a better perspective. I tried the entire weekend twice a day and only got one gem as well! Trick is to not get too serious on super gems as they don't change the game that much stats wise. Sometimes SUPER gemmed items are being sold at cheaper prices during these weekends as well and you can benefit from other's luck by just buying their item and sell your gems. The sky's the limit on how to take advantage of these weekends :)

I think the odds are much worse than that. More like 100 to 1. I craft all 5 slots in 3 different toons every day and I get like 1 grand every week or two. This weekend because of the double odds, I crafted 6 times in 4 days for a total of 90 tries, and did not get any grand gems.

And no, plat does not give you better odds, it just speeds it up. So if you have lots of plat to spend, you can have your grand gems now instead of having to wait months to get them. But expect to have to spend a ton of plat to do it.

Hmm...I guess I'm lucky. Used about 30 or 40 toons, though not always using all 5 slots. And only about once/day. Got 45 grand gems, though I suspect I forgot to count some. I'll check screenshots later. I only pick up upgrades during these 2x events. No plat spent. From this time and past experience, I'd say 1-2 grands per 10-15 maybe 10-20 attempts.

I almost thought the more expensive your gem, the more likely it was to grand, but I don't think that anymore. I think it's just chance.

I did notice that certain times that I picked up I'd get more grands, while other times I'd get none.

I think that just means to vary your pickup times since luck changes, so if you're on a streak of bad luck, RESIST the temptation to pick up ALL of your completed upgrades. If you are on an unlucky streak (for me, this is 2-5 non-grands in a row), go do something else for a few minutes before picking up more completed upgrades. Or change toons (which also spaces out your timing a bit).
