Skill damage doozer!!!!

I'm having an issue where weapons that have a smaller weapon damage are increasing my skill damage more than a weapon with higher weapon damage for example my talon increases my skill damage more than my bow???? Why does it do this and what other weapons affect skill damage more than others??

What bow and talon were you using?

A level 13 bow assassins platinum bow and the talon was a level 15 talon of excitability

the dreamers bony fire pin has more damage then the copperheads voodoo staff lol.
theyre both lv35 int items,
but the staff is 15x tougher to get

Perhaps it has something to do with the low level? Keeper Staff of the Cosmos, Mega Blaster and Gurgux hammer all have higher skill damage then their one handed counterparts.
