I have put together a simple calculator for those intrigued about the massive grind to lvl 56.

Just plug in your level, xp, how long the run is, and a few others, and my calculator tells you how long it will take, how many pots you will use, how much gold you will make (and more), all the way to 56!

*note: to plug in numbers, you must click on the "Click to Edit" button at the top of the page*

Here is a screenshot of it in action:

I uploaded the calculator here - CLICK ME! (http://blog.jonathonbrust.com/)

I can also send the actual excel file to anyone that wants to save it locally on their computer.

Thanks :)

This is cool, but how would elixirs reduce pots harvested?

Because the elixirs cause you to level up faster, in turn allowing you to make less runs, which causes you to harvest a smaller amount of pots.

Less runs you do, the less amount of potions you harvest.

Very nice! Mind making a calculator for this too (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?20606-How-to-calculate-your-attributes-using-STR-DEX-and-INT)? :p

Nice tool dude. er hmm.. nm bah

Anyways, this calc reminds me of stuff i used in other mmos, thanks for the work.

Hard to harvest pot in sewers though, its not like PP. Few times i went in with 0 0, didnt get nothing, very risky though. I can imagine only bears can do it lol

Nice touch with "Are You Awesome?" , should put "Hang in There" too :P

Might want to make a note that pot harvesting can only be done if you are the host of the game. And yes, even if you are the host, harvesting is very hard at BS :(

I added both of your guys' recommendations. Thanks!

Good place to farm pots - plasma pyramid. And yes, you have to be the host.

Well, a couple of months ago I ran Plasma Pyramid with someone else hosting, and I did harvest pots, once they reached 25 pots and never used any of them....took a while, but I did get them as a non-host; just had to wait for the host to hit 25 first and hope they don't use any and drop themselves below 25.

However, I don't know if this is still the case/changed in a patch.

*facepalm* yea ur right

Using this put me off ever grinding to 56, so thanks, really :)

If you have less than 25 pots and are not hosting, you begin to harvest pots if the host dies and you were the next person in the dungeon.

It's basically a "first person in" concept. If you're running VL and you go through a portal before anyone else, you collect the pots.

Whenever I host, I collect pots (yes, especially in BS, since they come fast!) and then give them to someone at the start of the next run so I can collect more. I usually just let them have it unless they want to give a few back after the runs are done.

Are you sure? Because I am pretty sure the host didn't die...it was a while ago and I can't be certain so I may be wrong, but it was just the two of us. I may retest this, but your 'first in' idea may be the case and he died and I somehow didn't notice even though we were roughly together.

If you join a PUG everyone gets potions. Tested many times with my level 1.

Yes, it is based off of the "next person in line" (could potentially be both?). If you are the last person to enter, you will have to wait till everyone else dies once, then you will start to harvest.

That is intersting, good to know!
