I'm not sure but I think this is the first time tanks and rogues are dominating (not huge difference) the mages in the leaderboards.

Could this be the first step to class evenness in pve.
Looking at the 3 stages we have:

Mobs that come down slowly and dont group up as much and require medium damage to die. (Rogues best, Mages meh, Tanks slightly worse)

Bloodhammer has exsessive health and has ko moves that are fairly easy to kite. (Rogues best, Mages meh, Tanks far worse)

2 bosses with heavy damage and health. (Rogues best, Tanks good, Mages okay)

Here we see tanks almost even with a mages usefulness which is great and gives me hope that sts expansion will make tanks be very helpful to the party.

Mages arent good at fighting bosses, yheres less mobs and more bosses so it gets tough for a mage to complete gauntlet with solo.

Yes I feel that to,try once time run gauntlet with my mage then I don't even interest to login anymore. What I'm concern is :

1. 1st stage mob drop slowly, make rogue didn't need other class they can pass this stage prety easy.

2. Too many mele attack type mob, which is rogue just need runing around to avoid getting hit (just 2 range attack type mob).

3. Dunno about boss, but yes rogue class is specialist one target enemy. So if u add range attack or hybrid (mix mele with range attack) boss which is dealing huge damage when do area range attack, rogue will need other class to run.

So far I thing gauntlet is chalanging, but just for rogue class or high gears players. For players who using under gears which is wanna participate this event will found really hard to complete one run.

They should've added group of 10 -15 elite mobs in each hall instead of noob spiders. So the mage will be of use.

There should be gauntlet III where we have to fight huge number of Mobs instead of bosses!!! Yes! Huge number of mobs and no boss!!

Next at gauntlet IV, we are tested our survivability!!
Mobs keep spawning! Bosses keep spawning!
Every 5 secs there 10 mobs spwans and every 30 secs 1 elite boss spawns! And they fade away when they die or they just automatically fade away every 1 min, and boss fades away in 2 mins if not killed.
The boss and mobs should hit hard but not one shot KO type of hits!!
For each sec you are awarded 1 points and for each death you lose 20 points.
Game ends when 5 bosses spawns and fades away!

Thoughts?

Sound cool... how about each stage mob (mix mele and range) and boss spawn together, mob stop spawn after boss die,and there are 3 or 4 stage with the same way.

All class will need each other class to complete :) so no more just 1 class dominated.

This thread brings up a really great point, that boss-centered events are designed with only rogues in mind.

Yes I wouldn't say this event is great in promoting class balance and the inclusion of all classes in a party/ doing that would mean presenting the content so that it required at least one party member from each class (with the 4th tending to be a mage or a rogue).

The gauntlet doesn't require a tank. Nor does it even "require" a mage... the only mobs present are so weak that you kill them all faster than they appear and then end up waiting around awkwardly for the last two before you can open the door.

This is another event where rogues don't want or need any other classes, and mages (1 hit) and tanks (slow) end up participating less than they might have liked to because they do actually need a rogue in the party but all the rogues interested in running are busy blitzing through it with 3 other rogues.

There was always class evenness but the pvp players kept complaining and messed it up.
