what is the best place to farm for recipes?
i have the two defaults, Balefort Castle and Fathom Crypts

planning on buying balefort sewers once i get two more plat

Level 55 - Dropped commonly from mini-bosses, all bosses drop though.

Regarding lv 55 recipes - 2 patches ago they seemed to have removed recipes from Balefort Sewers minibosses loot list and added them on the main boss list.

Physio is correct....mini-bosses in BS do not drop recipes any more...only main bosses do...they even said it in the update window....

Wow my friend got a recipe for a fortified plate from catspaw right before update (last drop i guess) and he was a dex bear so he gave it to me lol

You probably don't have the topmost box checked (the recipe itself). If you're crafting a lv 55 equip, then make sure you're not wearing your lv 55 non-crafted pink equip.

You are right. All you need is the recipe before you can craft that item which you wanted. ^^ You got to be really lucky though to get a drop that is a level 15 sorceror's robe recipe.

Deli is probably your best bet since it's a very small map and you face 3 bosses in very short distances from each other. Since drops are very rare, however, you may want to think about purchasing it as well from the Consignment Shoppe.

If you're still under level 30 as your sig suggests, I do not recommend getting Balefort Sewers at this time.

Currently locked at 28. thinking of buyin some plat and getting AO3, swamps, BS.

I suggest you host "Meathead's Deli" and go for Meathead only. Ignore the zombies too. After which, rehost/remake and repeat. In that way, you don't have to waste time waiting for spells cooldown.

Or you can also choose to clear all 3 bosses like Physiologic said.

It's hard to say. If your hoping for a level 15 I would forget about it. I've logged over 35 hours in the Deli the last two weeks with no level 15s. However, I have had about about 6 level 5 recipes drop. It seems pretty random. Three in one day but I have not had any the last 368 runs.

Yeah the level 5 helm recipes actually craft level 10 helms. So he would be correct on this.

Please note: There are two sets of level 5 helm recipes.

One set actually makes terrible level 5 (yellow) helms

The other set makes level 10 helms that are pretty decent (green) helms

The level 10 ones are: Assasin's Archer Helm - Ursan Fighters Helm - Necromancer's Mage Helm

Can anyone confirm that recipes drop in Dark Forest and Balefort? I have tried Quick Love for a while (just to break the mind numbing monotony of Meatheads Deli) and get nothing...

In the crafting guide by Lovenus, he only states that Level 5 and 15 recipes drop from Forest Haven bosses...

@ Addicted: Level 5 and 15 recipes only drop in Forest Haven. You will not get them in quick love. People farming there are miss-informed.

I would not expect to get a recipe in 45 minutes of farming. I average about 1 recipe every 6 - 8 hours. (level 5). I have only had 1 level 15 drop out of about 45 - 50 hours of farming =(

Recipes are a completely different drop/roll. They are a secondary drop. Not all recipes are orange, either.
