So,
Bienvenue (Bilaxman) and I have been trying to shrink the TCG Logo down to 16 x 16 size (We are going to use that image for the "Staff Tracker" function on the TCG Forum), but each time we shrink it, the image becomes really pixelated to where we only see some red, and a little bit of yellow in the middle.

Does anyone know how to shrink an image without losing image quality?

Thanks

I don't think there is a way to keep the exact resolution of the pic when resizing it. You're changing the size of the image, not the pixels. Try recreating the logo in a higher resolution in a 16x16 scale.

I dunno if it will work, but try raising the dpi to maybe 100-150 before resizing it and then lower it back to 72.

16x16 pixels? Well, here's my shot.

No interpolation: http://i.imgur.com/KeVTVhF.png (looks awful)

Cubic interpolation: http://i.imgur.com/wpplmAM.png

Cubic interpolation v2 (more contrast!): http://i.imgur.com/ufP0r3G.png

Cubic interpolation v3 (retouched!): http://i.imgur.com/5qhH26y.png

Pixel art v2 (now with more shrubbery!): http://i.imgur.com/TacpxMt.png

Pixel art v3 (different design!): http://i.imgur.com/DPgUR3k.png

Pixel art v4 (The shrubbery almost looks like a little heart ❤): http://i.imgur.com/boy9kip.png

Hold CTRL when you're changing the size of it.
