Why did they have to take down the 800 platinums offer for ingame?

IT SUCKS! I bought a $50 iTunes card today, thinking i would get my 800 platinums and be extra happy and pretty ingame(Sexy looking = epic skills.).
But then I look on the ingame store and the offer isnt there D:

So now, IF I spend my iTunes card on the ingame store offers, I get 390 platinums all up.
That's a loss of 410 platinums because the offer isn't there :/

I see it's still on the site for credit card holders though.

Did devs take it down due to iTunes taking some for their own or something? >.<

(most likely wrong with the 390 platinums part, as I was adding up off the website, not the ingame store. Maths and research was never my forte.)

They discussed this here. I'm not sure if there was a way around it or why they removed it, but its been discussed so I hope you find help :)
