I have bought a shadow set for a while now, but ive seen many threads saying shadow sucks. Im almost lvl 51, so what do i do?

I really want to buy MM lv 55, but too poor now, selling shadow wont help much either.

So what should i do?

You are safe with the shadow doll and stick. I put on a keeper staff when I want int murder anyways, so helps.
I remember comparing the keeper staff cosmos set and the shadow with keeper staff and not seeing much.

You are in the EXCACT same dilemma I found myself in a few days ago. Shadow is by no means a bad set. Even up till the begining of lvl 54 I was solely using the Shadow armor, helm, doll, and a Laser Wand (So I didn't even get the set bonus). I was doing fine in the sewers. I was keeping up with everyone no problem, but I did find myself feeling a bit too squishy in certain maps such as catacombs or stronghold. I invested a lot of time and research into the topic, and found that it really is worth it to upgrade from the shadows. I would say keep shadows until you reach level 53 (Honestly, it is probably best for you to stay in CTK and get to 53 before hitting the sewers hard).

Keep in mind these numbers are for the lvl 55 set, but the only difference between 53 and 55 are a few points here and there.

Huh, I must have missed all the discussion on how shadow is supposed to be bad. I think it's the best gear for int level 50. Extra armor bonus is great with doll and stick, and the keeper's staff is awesome for it's aoe and dirt cheap. I think I too was using it even after 53 - I hate to spend money on gear I'm going to outgrow in 2 levels.

I don't think the Shadow set sucks at all!! I used it almost exclusively up to lvl 53. Then I mixed in some LVL 53 stuff but I used my doll all the way to 55.

Keep the shadow until 55, then consider buying something else. Shadow is by no means a bad set - I used it all the way to 56 before replacing my build piece by piece with mega mage. Lowmans can be bought for as little as 5k nowadays, so even if you don't like it, it isn't much.
