View Full Version : Unrooting my Droid2 ... Not fun.

Since it has MotoBlur features, I think all the permanent data exchange was slowing down my phone. I unrooted a few weeks ago expecting an OTA update from Google granting me 2.3 Gingerbread, but that didn't happen. SO... I suggest if you have a Droid2, and you want to use it for gaming, root it, and keep it rooted until further notice. It took forever to unroot and bring it back to pure stock version(bricked my phone once in the process, couldn't use it for about 2 hours).

I'm not rooted again and if I'm correct, it should take away all the screen-freezing, FPS choking I was experiencing.

I might try a different ROM too.

TIP: You can use custom ROMs designed for Droid X on your Droid 2. I was bored and risked it. Worked perfectly fine.
