Hi,

I was wondering if a higher regen rate (m/s and/or h/s) also means you start to regen faster when your health/mana starts depleting.

I'm asking this cause it sure does look so, but I'm not 100% positive about this.

Regen is immediate. If you have 1 H/s and you lose 10 health from a hit, in 10 seconds it will be restored.

What you are talking about is not regen rate, but the appearance of regen rate. The mana / health bar only updates at certain intervals, so higher rates will hit those intervals faster and give the appearance that your regen has started sooner. If you could see the actual numbers, you would see the regen starts immediately and is continuous until you are full.
