500x100 is so squishy. (hint, hint SamHayne)

I have 4 face images, i will be placing them horizontally with space in between. Is the length bearable for face pics?

An image has to be 500x100 or less, OR smaller than 15KB. So if you go below 15KB, you should be able to get it a little more than 500x100.

Can't possibly get that with a PNG image, right?

PNG stands for portable network graphics, it is one of the few that loses no quality at all when rendered and maintains a transparent background. No, its almost impossible to get less than 15kb with 100x100 on a PNG.
That is why my IGN in my sig is so small. If i were you, in photoshop, use the option "TRIM" in image. it should be on top/bottom of crop... i believe? I think it is either in the edit/image tab. Probably image. This will make the storage space go down, and also use a background color. If you leave it transparent, thats fine too, but it wastes space trying to make that clear. Use the hex code: "#fafafa" to get the exact color code as the forums.
Here is the setup:

delete any layers you do not need, or just layers that don't have anything on them and just waste space. Save the psd, then press merge visible in image(it will not work on an invisible layer) and it should flatten the image to a perfect quality rasterized jpg. from here save the image as a .png, your done! do not save it, because it will delete all your work since you flattened the image into a rasterized picture.
