Can someone tell me why people say no magic shield when fighting the keeper? I'm at a loss, but have seen several do it.

urban legend they say if you don't use the shield keeper wont put his shield up.

I can say there are diffrent views, but this I have not yet heard :0
Using magic shield in my opinion does not prevent anything when killing the keeper, trying to kill him Before HIS shield is up is the ultimate goal.

One of very many unsubstantiated myths... Easiest way to de-funk them is by doing it. I have prove many wrong on this one...

To kill Keeper before shield goes up would take about how long? I was in a group today and we killed him in less than 10 secs two times. That was nice. Then the group deteriorated.... you know how the story ends.

The most annoying thing is when there is a lvl 5 in Tue keeper room w/ my lvl 34+ (leveled up 6 times in four hours, only 2 of which got me experience) and a lvl 38-50. The lowbie player complains about dying a lot(usually archer) and will chew us out because we "didn't tank for him." We have two mates 7-8 times his level, and the host left earlier. Your best bet is to get a lvl 50+ archer, and a mate or two. He dies pretty fast. Just don't kill the mate. Then everyone is dead.
