proper stats for a hybrid bird: str/dex

off topic: ran sewers and recently received r roaches armor and sewers armor lvl 53 in one week, rlly lucky. but does the lvl matter of items? besides differential in armor.

so ive been trying to figure out how this will work, cause i want to wear fury items for tanking and also use a r roach's xbow...but when i do the math to equally distribute str and dex, i would be either less than the other and vise versa or just not enough period. for this build, should i be using lower lvl str items? tips will be appreciated or even a direct link from archives to this topic.

...also, i was messing around with the "builds" under "update stats" and wasted platinum on these, does this play a role in doing hybrids?

Ellyidol's guide is a great start to learning to work on dual spec (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?19405-Dual-Spec-Guide-%2855%29). I know I've seen more warbirds (Str/Dex) out in BS now with the Fury set. Based on Stat Calculations (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?20606-How-to-calculate-your-attributes-using-STR-DEX-and-INT) by Physiologic (which references Enchantress-Attributes-Guide- (Table-Format) (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?17295-Enchantress-Attributes-Guide-%28Table-Format%29)) I calculated base values for a dual spec warbird.

The easiest way to go warbird is with Ellyidol's 139/140 (which is the calculation on the right). I managed to get to the 129/150 base stat calculation on the left. When you switch to using RR equipment (dex-focused), the extra 10 points in Dex does make a difference. Hopefully, (if) when I get to 56, I'll use the Crown and dump the additional points into Dex.

Well my setup is different from Ellyidol's guide because I start at 129 str. But if you go with 138 str, the following loadouts should work:

Pre Str- Osiris helm, the rest in Rift gear
Full Str- Fury Helm + 55 BS equip
Pre Dex- Horus Helm, the rest in Void gear
Full Dex- RR cap + 55 BS equip

I have this equipment -- I am sure there are other (cheaper) ways to get there as well.

The Crown of Persistence is a special piece of armor (helmet) only obtainable when you reach the current level cap (56). It takes 83,840 exp to get from level 55 to 56, hence it's name.

As soon as you reach 56, you can talk to the Fallen Prince NPC in Muck Hovel (Balefort Sewers campaign) and the Dingy Crown is unlocked to buy with 5 Platinum:

Afterwards, you can do a series of quests to further craft the helm into either a STR (http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo96/bryantioliu/f33ed70b.png), DEX (http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb387/YanisW/IMG_1294.png), or INT (https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_qxqUJiD0__c/TWl3xK_67MI/AAAAAAAAAKY/QHNfNlOXdqA/Enchanted%20Crown%20of%20Persistence.png) variant of the Crown.

The great thing about the Crowns for dual specing is that they do not require any amount of STR/DEX/INT to equip. The only requirement to wear the Crown is level 56.

Easy to buy would be Ao2 pieces (Osiris/Horus/Thoth) and some pieces of Rift/Void/Cosmos aren't that expensive either.

But the overall free ones would be the cyber pieces :p

After you get the hang of it, it's personal preference really. Just like what Wushu said, he's done that pretty well :)

Use an Osiris Sword.

You don't have to reach 56 to dual spec, it's very doable at 55.

Dex should just be the same as str boosters, just the dex counterparts.

hmm but i will be equipping a 2H weap...for instance, a rr xbow.

For your booster set, its best to wear a talon+wing so you can get the max amount of dex possible.

Yeah its possible to dual spec with a 2H weapon, did you read the section on that in my guide?

For my bear, I can go Full Str Gear to Full Dex Gear without any boosters because I use the 56 Dex Crown.

Yeah, you have to use a Talon+Wing to equip a 2H weapon, unless of course your stats are high enough to go from Dex Booster to Full Dex Gear with 2H weapon, but that wouldn't be dual spec anymore.
