Yes i know this has been addressed before, but a tentative solution entails this as well.
Firstly the problem is twofold.
1 The major farming that average geared players do is eggs, be it malison or kettle. These crates are killing that economy. The ONLY other thing left to farm is planar tombs , so the average player is dumped off. This is almost like saying be rich or dont play, which is something that a game should CERTAINLY not be about

2 One of the few reasons people ran high elites anymore was also eggs, like shadowlurk. The price drop for it has been so huge that the few few people running elites are also giving up on it ( as if elite runs wasnt dead already)

Almost everything in this game can be obtained simply by popping locks. Some pets( like shade) were the exception.
Now all one person has to do to get EVERY IMPORTANT GEAR/PET is stand in a place and use plats * pop pop pop*. I mean seriously, real world currency should speed things up and make the game easier, not serve everything on a platter to you!!!

Guys please, yes like any company you guys want to make money, but cant you'll spare anything to honest farming?? If i wanted to only gamble throughout the game, i can go to a casion :/
Ok that kind of went off track, my solution ( even though most of the damage has been done) being :-
Make the pets looted in crates "untradeable".
-Most of these farmable pets can already be bought using plats, so the pets owned by crate poppers wont be anything new.
-Pets can still be farmed since no crate pets can be traded, so pet farming like malison farming will survive.
-The owners can be happy getting their hands on vintage pets without collapsing the last stable economy of AL.
Thank you, id be happy to hear any feedback
P.S. Sorry STS, this wasnt meant to bash you guys but you'll are taking the game in the entire opposite direction by further fulfilling the needs of the top 1% then making the game playable for the remaining 99%. The easter event had been a good turn around, the pet crates crushed any and all improvement.

There is a big problem with this solution. If the eggs are untradeable, then if you open a bunch of crates and get a lot of the same egg, you're stuck.

I think a better solution is to put a temporary liquidation amount into place. If it is high enough, the price of eggs will go back up to their normal levels.

Why will I be stuck? If can liquidate them for say like 3-4k, then i wouldnt mind a slew of dearies. These crates should only be for those vintage and hard to obtain pets like shade/misty; so if you get the rest, you just have to live with them.
Liquidation at high prizes is not a good idea, again too much power to the plat users

Not sure about new ones, but the older pet crates -- those pets have already returned to their old prices or close to it. So not sure if egg crates are making a huge difference in the long term.

Umm bro have you checked shadowlurk egg price recently?
Kettle will deteriorate after this crate and malison soon to follow
People being incredibly lucky and selling that elusive shade egg were dealt an underhanded blow when potentially 15 plat can give you one
Also, dont forget hoarding, the price decrease is going to last for a loooooong time because people are hoarding till the crate series ends ( look at the load of blinky's and yowie's still available)

Um, you said nothing about a liquidation rate in your original post, and if the pets are made untradeable with no liquidation rate in place, then yes, you would be stuck with them.

This ^ Is the entire problem with the entire crate system. There is no incentive to actually go out and play the game - as in running maps and killing monsters.

If I wanted to stand around shelling out cash on a gamble at winning something, I'd go to a casino where I know what the odds are (and where those odds are definitely higher than the odds here). I come here to play a game, not flush $100 bills down the toilet.

Extremely true, I mentioned the casino quip in my post as well [emoji14]
This crate system was a very dumb idea :/....just letting the 1% get those few pets they havent yet

No bro, u missed the point. I agree with your liquidation idea but not a high one. Not more than 3-4k
