New level cap and the xp required to level from 40 to 41

Is it safe to assume it won't be 27000 xp once the cap is raised?

I'm levelling alts during this double xp week and if the xp required to level from 40 to 41 is reduced once the expansion hit i will just park them at 40

I think it'll be in 30-35k.

40-46 would prob be either 27.5k or 30k

And when the new levels are added, Lv40-41 will turn to 2,750xp (10% of before) and whatever xp you have remaining will be proportionally reduced. Meaning if you have 6,000/27,500 xp before cap is raised, you will have 600/2,700 xp after.

Some players think that if you have like 27,000/27,500 xp before cap is raised, you will keep those extra xp points and you will level automatically to make up for the extra points. But this is not true.

Well this may frost your butts as long time players that havent levelled in a while.

The XP amount to level isn't that high anymore. Or my XP gain on my mage was bugged. 2.6k per level to 40 from 25, 26k 40-41.

Those numbers were for the past elite caps (16, 21,26,31 etc for each respective expansion). As cap raised, the xp needed will reduce to the "normal amount ", only the last level in the given expansion( lv 41 right now) require 10x the xp to reach it
