The "Troll"(MMO's) There are many myths and rumors about trolls, including the possibly true facts that they can regenerate their health through flaming and the use of Linux operating systems. They share a symbiotic relationship with Flamers. Their main purpose is to feed off the flames of dispassionate and somewhat stupid forumers so they can become more powerful.

Troll (internet): An internet term for a person who, through willful action, attempts to disrupt a community or garner attention and controversy through provocative messages.

Trolls are a cannibalistic and omnivorous bunch, they’ll troll you just as soon as the guy standing next to you or the dude standing next to them. Is it bad? Not really, they’re just building a sort of counterculture that doesn’t tend to mix well with the traditional community and are constantly persecuted for it- leading to a vicious cycle of hate between the Troll and various other forum groups.

I am not condoning trolling in anyway, just a funny thing I found on the internet about trolls ;).

Failtrolls:

* HATEtroll •
A less than intelligent cousin of the RAGEtroll, the HATEtroll lacks the finesse in presentation that defines their cousin. A lone HATEtroll rarely lasts long, as they are another prime target of Moderator action.

• ASCII-Troll •
Closely related to the Memetroll, this troll tends to focus specifically on posting large and obnoxious ASCII art (mostly stolen). The ASCII-Troll has been bordering extinction since their first appearances on the forums, as their posts are largely classed as spam and are very easy to detect.

• Walltroll •
An imitator of the Wallnub, they can often be difficult to distinguish between and for that reason are rarely actioned against by Moderators. As neither Moderators nor players want to decipher their dense wall of text. However they do tend to attract the other various Failtroll species, who are often more than anxious to post unactioned on such threads.

• Memetroll •
One of the most ancient subspecies of Troll. This variety spouts a constant stream of internet memes; and, while some can be witty in their use or adaptation of the meme, they normally post them with a limited understanding or purpose. They are extremely common and are often found posting on other threads, though rarely make their own.

• Pseudo-Intellectual Troll •
These are the primary prey of the various Anti-Troll subspecies. They are characterized as having a tenacious and withstanding belief in the defense of a wrong idea, and often resort to using bombast & pompous rhetoric to dissuade counterarguments- then feed off of whatever weak victory they achieve. More often than not they freely roam and maintain their own threads in the forums as Moderators have no recourse to lock a thread whose discussion is not a blatant lie. These Trolls draw most of their power from whatever online thesaurus they've got bookmarked.

Epictrolls:
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

• Wiseacre Troll •
One of the stronger subspecies of Troll, while it seems to possess a fairly high level of intelligence though they are often undone by a lack of experience and understanding of their target. While the cleverness that defines them is often transitory, if you allow one to catch you in a subject with which they are well versed then they can be very deadly. They do not seem to be averse to treading the line when it comes to rulebreaking, but are rarely caught doing anything outright illegal.

• Erudite Troll •
This is by far the rarest and most powerful type of Troll. They know just about everything, how to use it, and aren’t bluffing. Their primary tools are logic, misdirection, and strong language skills; along with a very flexible sense of morality and a strong passion for winning. They’re known for tenaciously defending whatever side of an argument suites their taste and will often resort to outlasting their target by posting increasingly long arguments if they’re unable to reasonably defeat them. While unlikely to be caught, they are more than willing to bend the rules and have a thorough knowledge of how to abuse the system to their advantage. They are extremely deadly and never push any questionable behavior past the legal limit. They're normally 20+ with a job and the delusion of having a "life".

• Critictroll •
Rarely found making legal threads, these Trolls are most often spotted posting on any other existing threads. They are known for picking apart target’s posts to criticize on minor details such as spelling and punctuation, insulting the intelligence of their targets either blatantly or through inference, and often rely heavily on Straw Man arguments. These Trolls thrive on their ability to cover up their flaming with wit and a demonstration of a higher level of intelligence than many other Troll and Forumer species, so- unless provoked to flaming- there is little to be done against them.

Anti-Trolls:
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

• Modtroll •
Although the blatant Modtroll is rare, they can often be found in an attempted state of self-containment. This seems to be a transitory stage for Forum Moderators, after which they are either decrowned or reformed. However, due to a lack of supervision this has manifested as a seemingly permanent and chronically relapsing disorder in certain Moderators. While their tolerance for humor is often increased during these relapses, you must still be wary- their lulz often come from your pain, their "cookies" are baked from your blood and suffering.

• RAGEtroll •
This is a subspecies of Anti-Troll whom are noted for their use of RAGEformat in their posts. These trolls are most often found preying on various other trolls’ threads and/or posts rather than creating their own thread. Although they are capable of maintaining their own threads for brief periods of time, it is rare for this form of Troll to have the wit necessary to sustain an unactioned thread for long. Be warned though, the rare intelligent RAGEtroll is often deadly unless countered with overwhelming numbers.

• "Lazy Troll" Does not have a high enough IQ to post anything except 'Nerd;Noob'. (Relative to Meme trolls.)

• "Random Troll" Completely derails a thread through their comment.

• "Blunt-Head Troll" Will blatantly ignore anything you say to him in favor of pressing the same point again and again. These can be dangerous, especially in packs, because they cannot be reasoned with.

• "WBMtroll" Posts using the WBM format frequently, to annoy targets to death.

• "The Singing Troll" Posts song lyrics.

• "Bumptroll" When just saying 'bump' isn't enough. A funny way to add a bit of helpful randomness to someone's day.

• "Wannabecool Trolls" Players who call everyone else a 'Kid' simply because it makes them feel shhuper popular.

• "Profiled-stalking troll" A troll that follows people around the forums, posting everywhere the person they are following have posted. Very rare. Avoid at all costs, can get very annoying at times.

• Ponzi Troll "bait and switch" This troll creates a thread with a certain caption to draw the attention of others with the full intention to immediately guide the thread conversation into a completely different direction.

• Sympathy Swamping Troll These trolls create real tear jerking-threads about how they were scammed, how their life is terrible, or how they have worked so hard to loose it to a scammer.

• "Intelitroll" One who uses information from the past or present to compare it to the extreme present in order to start a debate, regardless of whether the victim has a legit topic or not.

• "Superiority/god complex troll" They think they are a Erudite Troll and are smarter than everyone else. They live under the delusion that they are "owning" their opponents and refuse to accept anyone else's arguments. They can be incredibly persistent, and thus very dangerous if not dealt with immediately.

• "Vulgar Troll" These, the crudest of all trolls, make no attempt to hide their species. Often, they make racist comments, and post other prejudice spam. Vulgars usually confine their comments merely to primitive, profane, off-topic observations.

• "Reserve-Breaking Troll" Trolls who like to break the reserves long threads in the making. Usually make some commment along the lines of "omg, u done with reserves bro" or, "what's res". They ignore posts explicitly saying do not post yet. They are fierce rivals to the Reserve trolls, and enjoy tearing them apart. Usually, reserve-breaking trolls are scarce and work individually, but when they cooperate, then they are a big threat. They appear to be part of the "Failtroll" subspecies.

• "Profanitroll" This troll normally uses a curse or swear word in the place of every noun, verb and adjective, with the occasional ordinary word placed in the midst to give an impression they are talking about something. though they're rare around places like Pocket Legends

• "L33t Troll" 4 tr011 t#4t ty93s 1n num83rz @nd sym801s.

• "FemTroll" This species of troll uses its feminine traits and general girlyness to say things that men would not get away with.

Nah, it seems to be a mixture of all 3.

Banned on the other hand? He's just epic. He doesn't need a category. He makes his own category.

Lol, but to be fair. Banned isn't a troll in my eyes. He's just witty and can defend himself and others when the need arises.
