The Call of Champions Alpha Video Contest is going strong and we've gotten some really impressive entries so far! Thank you to everyone that has already submitted their video. We'll consolidate all of the entries here for easy access and so the community can vote on their favorite ones.

This contest is a really superb opportunity for us to see the passion and personalities of our community. Call of Champions is a competitive game, where the athletes are just as important as the broadcasters and personalities that come with it. Remember, this contest is an opportunity to let your personality shine through your video.

We love seeing the trailer entries, but we’d also love to see…YOU! Use your 7-30 seconds to show us precisely why you want to be one of those star personalities in our game. Brief Introduction of Your Video: I decided to create this video to see what it's like to animate as I have always wanted to try, I was at first tempted to do a trailer but then I saw that most were already doing trailers so I ended up doing a basic video about me, it was a lot of fun despite the fact that I was using crappy software from the windows store. It took me many hours to make despite how simple it looks as the software I was using was very basic and didn't even have animations for switching from picture to picture so I ended up using the zoom tool to try and create a similar effect, I also did a lot of trial and error with the filters and the adjusting of the times to get it in tune with the music. Anyway, it was a very enjoyable experience and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Q: What happens if I go over 30 seconds?
A: We understand if you need a few extra seconds to get your point across. We will accept entries up to 45 seconds long, but anything longer than that will be disqualified.

Q: Does my video have to be a trailer?
A: Absolutely not. As we mentioned above, we want to see your personality shine through your video in whatever way that may be. Take a look at our last big video contest for some inspiration from our AL community: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?134069

Q: Will my entry be considered even if I don't have a lot of likes?
A: All entries will be considered regardless of popularity. STS will make the final judgment as to which ones will win alpha access, but community votes will certainly play a role.

Q: Is the contest for North America or USA only?
A: Not at all! You can enter and play from anywhere in the world.

Yeah, im just gonna keep quiet and post the vid, tbh....just by looking at the number of votes recieved I lost my motivation. Heck, Im just trying to do my best and participate.

I guess ill have to wait until the game is actually out :/

The only thing i doubt is my location here @ dubai...My connection is fast enough to hold 10 devices running AL PvP on less than 200Ping. Im just not confident enough to launch my video...considering as of how the players are selected. The sole purpose of alpha gameplay is Direct Dev contact and shaping the game, thus I dont have time either, as school does keep me busy...but i am always available 3-5hrs a day.

Remiem, just a suggestion, perhaps next time, videos are uploaded and submitted, all entries are uploaded to STS's youtube channel, but sumbitters may NOT include their names in the video (only STS and that participant knows who the video's creator is), so that viewers will look at all the videos before clicking the Like button on which one they like best. This way, new and old youtubers have the same chance at joining Alpha (because there are some youtubers with 0 subs (like me, and I'm sure some others as well), and youtubers with 50+ subscribers. Who will get more votes? the people with more subscribers)

I think this is what discourages many people (myself included), because we know, when we are compared to other youtubers, we have a chance near zero of getting a lot of votes.

Please take a second to look at this competition from STS's perspective. Say someone is able to consistently reach many viewers and creates quality media. STS then thinks, "This person creates quality material and will reach a large viewer base to raise awareness of CoC." Why shouldn't someone who is able to do that have a slight advantage? Their investment into developing a YouTube following finally may pay off. But let me repeat this again, "Views and likes will play a minor role in deciding the winners."

For example, look at me. It has been over a whole year since I was active on these forums and with Spacetime. I didn't even put together that great an applictaion. And yet they remembered me for some reason or another and asked me to be a T1 Alpha Titan.
If anything this proves that the STS staff looks beyond superficial statistics and instead at the qualities and qualifications of candidates.
I am sure STS will choose the 6 most worthy candidates to invite as T2 Alpha Legends.

You aren't supposed to have multiple entries. JustG said multiple entries are not allowed, you need to pick one that you like best and use it. That's what he told me, at least.

I created this video, which hopefully expresses my desire to be an alpha tester even better than the movie trailer video that I originally did. This features me voicing my qualifications and desires to be an alpha tester of Call of Champions.

What do you mean, "chill", lol. I wasn't accusing you of anything dude. I was just letting you know that having multiple entries weren't allowed in order to prevent you from getting disqualified or having someone else make the choice for you on which video to use.

and got the implication that you seem to think that we need to upload two videos, one trailer and one about why you want to get in. No. You have to make the choice on which video you like the best, and narrow it down to one entry.

Definitely! They probably don't take into account the likes/votes as much as you think! If you make a quality video, they will be sure to see those qualities, not just your lack of votes!
