New, and help needed!

I'm new to this game and I need some advice in skills and attributes.
I'm lvl 12 right now and the skills I have are:

Right now I have this stats: (sorry no screenshot)

With Armour + Ring

Armor 23

The Armour + Ring I use are:

Crusader's Royal Badness Helm (green) bought with platinum
Crusader's Falming Moon Axe (green) bought with platinum
Croc's Nature Chain (orange) bought with platinum
Croc's Wooden Buckler (orange) found
Fine Steel ring of Bravery (bought with platinum


Any tips are welcome.
I mostly play in Dark forest now and I don't need any pots if I play solo.

yes your doing ok i suggest putting some points into dex :) and max out rage and iron blood for maximum damage and armour then work on alternate spells your gear and good and you already have bought a ring good job and hope i helped!

What kind of bear are you after?

Pure tank? Pure damage? A bit of both?

It would help to determine what stats/skills you would need.

Very possible! :)

You have 2 choices,

1. A dual spec str/dex bear (my guides show more detail)
2. A Hybrid Str/Dex Bear but focusing on str equipment.

PS: Thanks! but there are heaps of bears that can do that and more, I was just fortunate enough to be able to record it ;)

Oh, yes, for low levels focusing on str based equipment should be easier. (The option of even using a bow is possible, its a bit more complex than usual though).

For stats:

I'd say enough points in strength to be able to use strength equipment, and the rest into dex.

My main problem in the lower levels was actually being able to hit the mobs, so a few points in dex should help.

I'm not sure how much str is needed per higher level of gear, so the safest would probably be 4:1 Str/Dex per levelup.

As for skills, I'd suggest something like:

1 on all Slashes and 1 in Stomp
6 on Rage ASAP (Makes you deal GOOD damage)
6 on Iron Blood when you can, you don't necessarily have to max it quick.
6 on Beckon (only available after level 24, your last skill) - This is the skill that pulls the mobs towards me, as you can see in the video. This is also the skill that you can use Stomp to combo with.

After those skills, I'd advice you to max your debuffs (Crushing Blow, Hell Scream) as they are extremely useful in receiving less damage.

After awhile, you should get the hang of playing a bear. Hopefully by then you'll be able to follow one of my guides as to what kind of bear you'd be looking for. :)

You're welcome! :)

There's no immediate need to respec, still very early anyway. You can still level up quick and just add the points to the stats/skills. You'd probably want to respec when you reach end-game, to get that perfect build you want :P

Sounds good!

Keep an eye on your Hit %, once you hit around 80ish, you can slow down a bit since gear in the later levels add Hit % as well.

And yes, a 6 Rage adds 60 damage and 30% crit - VERY good for a lower level :)

Wait til you get Beckon 6 and Stomp 6. Use the combo with a level 6 Rage and you'd probably be able to solo very well. :)

Yup, there's a level or two in stomp (I forget which ones) that don't add any damage. Speculation has it that it increases the "max" targets that stomp can hit though, you'll notice more on that later when you start mobbing up.

Level 6 definitely adds more damage though. :)
