Right now I use an Axe, but some people say you get the most damage with a 1H Sword?

It really depends on the weapon/weapon type.

Some weapons/weapon types have a higher proportion of their weapon damage added to skill damage, while some have a low proportion of their damage added to skill damage.

Not good at all with the lower level gear :(

I'd suggest just getting decent damaged weapons, and stick to them until you find a new one that can replace.

You'll be blowing through levels really quick so it won't be economical to keep changing.

Probably by 30ish, you can start investing in decent weapons every 5 levels. 35, 40, 45, 50, 55. :)

Yea just use some weapons that is good enough not the best for that lvl when your on a low lvl.

as level 17 i would use just a weap witch droped... ur lvl 20 and above in max. some hours...
