I know Physiologic has a Youtube video of themself running through dungeons... But what about all the PvP tournaments we have on this forum? I can see you guys don't want to give away your combos or anything else. What do you guys think of this? Just video taping a pvp match, kinda like a mini-montage of some sort. Give the new people a little bit to work with. Or have they already been made and I just can't seem to find them? Anyways I think it'd be a good learning tool. Feedback on this idea? :D
I tried to do this. However, displayrecorder's 25 FPS just can't keep up with the fast firing skills. It just causes lag and makes the film appear to be 15 fps when in actuality, it is still 25 fps.

How did you try to do it?

I bought an app on my Jailbroken iPhone called displayrecorder. Although, I'm noticing that you have the Samsung Vibrant which is android. Unfortunately, Android doesn't support screen recorders very well either. You could try and get an app for that, but... Only expect 10 FPS max and an average of 7 fps.

What about with a handheld video recorder? It'd be a hassle which means less videos, but the videos would be really helpful.

I could do it with that, but then there is the thing about your skills being used :D. Of course, I could always put a big patch box over the skills. Everytime I have to video record, I have to rearrange the skills so nobody finds out the PvP combo I use :D.

Lol yea, but it'd be fun to watch. Like how people dazzle their xbox or ps3 games. It'd be sort of like that, but then again, the whole thing about your combos being used and if your don't want your gear getting out. But hey, it'd be fun to try IMO

Few people would do this for a two main reasons. One, because it adds unwanted lag. And two, it can reveal their pvp combo.

It would cause unwanted lag with a handheld video camera? And like range said, put a big black box over it, i've edited a few videos isn't really that difficult. I'd be more interested in the gameplay and the battles more so than the combos being used which are too fast anyways.

Hint Hint, Nudge Nudge
Parth, why don't you use a video camera to record your pvp matches ;)

Lol it's ottaayyy, but I mean just think about it. I think if I eventually got good at the game, it would be awesome to go back look at videos on previous matches, and plus we're all friends here. Granted everyone's in competition with each other constantly because of the game, put a black box over the combos therefore they can't see exactly what your doing. Same thing as if you were dazzling a CoD clan match, others can see the spots you and your team take up, but still they can't do anything about it because you already know that spot and where to look for from spawn points. Same principle.

Yea sounds like a good idea, if i can get screen capture working ill make some. I mean even if you see the skills on screen you dont know how many points are in each :D

Well he could always just blur the icons a tad when he edits the vid. Some monetages would be awsome. Like killstreaks ect.

That's a good point, no one but you would know how many points are in your skills, therefore if someone tried to copy combos, they really wouldnt know how to distribute to get it effective

Yea i get the same issue using android. Im gonna test linking it with my laptop then using camtasia with a way higher framerate for recordin. But the link with the laptop will lag too :/ I wish i knew how the devs made their youtube ads.

That's easy. If you are a developer developing Apple App's. The dev software kit includes a lag free screen recorder to display your app running.

We already discussed this... you can either put a big black rectangle/square over the things or just let it be. No one but you knows how many points is in each combo and if anyone tries it they more than likely will not get it right. It's just a thought that I'm throwing out there, everyone has those moments where they are like, "Man, should've died right there, wish I could've had that recorded." At least that's what I think because it's pretty awesome when it happens.

The skills can always be hidden with some small edits... just put a black box over it and nobody can see the skills.. lol :-)

Idk whether to take this as a compliment or what, but I was just a youtube cod guy, I was part of the community. A lot like this community, this one is a lot cleaner, would like to see a little more bashing on forums but that's just me. I have a few videos on youtube but it was singles. I was pretty good, not the best but good. And yes, that's the kinda videos that I think would be good, 2v1 wins or 3v1 wins but i've seen it done, only when a twink goes into a pub room though full of randoms.
