For those who looted fossils...

Those I know of, who have looted a fossil opened the chests after each run. ( 7 pieces in total)

This however should not play any role. I personally opened in batches of 10 or 20 and haven't looted one

Each crate is treated independently so it doesn't matter if you open 1 or 30. It doesn't matter if the 1, 10 or 30 crates are opened straight after you loot or if you wait days after looting. Each crate has random loot with rarer items having a much lower probability of looting, even though sometimes there are double odds on already low odds. This is the same for ANY crate in the game. Good luck on looting :)

I looted a fossil and for me I only open if I have at least 30 crates. Don't ask me why but 30 tends to give me better results haha. When I looted fossil it was on chest 11 of 30. On my next batch I got like 7 vials and 27 reinforced gems but no fossil. Hopefully I can get more haha

The luck in this game is so screwed. The players who hardly run arena get the best loot while others get complete crap. If this system is still like this in the next expansion, gg. Half the players that looted recipe didn't even run that much.

Sooo.... since I have had a gazillion people ask this question, I will reply. But I have to first ask why the heck anyone thinks it makes a difference if you open 100 at once or one at a time? It is like wearing a special t-shirt when your favourite hockey team plays. Any belief that it makes a difference is 100% superstition.

For the first one, I had done about 50 runs with a team. I opened those when we changed teammates, and it was in the second to last one.

For the second, I stood on my head in the shower while drinking coca-cola out of a straw. Oh wait... that was the method for looting a recipe.

For the second, I just got a hunch, so opened 2 chests between bosses. It was in the second of those chests.
